Hi Guys, I'm looking for a plan of how to build a simple trolley so that my 10 year old students at school can have a go. Does anyone have a good website or a plan that may be useful and easy to follow?

Happy New Year to you all. Well 2006 is here and I tried to get down to Nelson, but work had me in Ashburton (no Hills in that town). So, does anyone have a date for the next trolley run up north here, sure would love to blow the dust off the cars and do a run down a hill. Take care.

My entry for the Red Bull was made of cardboard, plastic, wood, papier machet, steel etc., had rack and pinion, anti Ackermann steering, brakes on all four wheels (a requirement), was arguably one of the fastest trollies on the hill, and did not make it to the finish line.
You may have to compete with 200 or more other hopefuls to even get an entry accepted. You will not be accepted with a shop bought trolley.
It is a team event. You need 5 members and have to do a 90 second Grand Entrance to introduce your team and trolley to the crowd. You are judged on that and points go towards your final score.
You are also judged on presentation and innovation.

The two previous RBTGPs have been at the Auckland Domain.
Expect the next one in 2007.
The Red Bull website will have the rules for construction when they put up their RBTGP pages.
You have to be 16 or over to compete.
