I'm with Sylvain Sylvain on this one. I check your site pretty much daily, and I'm never disappointed. Keep rockin' (and drop a fella a line sometime, wouldja?)

If you could have dinner with any being, living, dead, real, or fictional, what would you wear?

The posts I enjoy the most are always about real life experiences you've had. When you're in that mode, your writing style is fresh and entertaining. It is also those posts that might provide some insight about you as an individual, which is why people read weblogs, I think. So, stories about running over your sister, about getting arrested, about silly catcalling boys, about turmoil at work, etc. That's when you're at your best, in my opinion.

I'm less into the fiction stuff. Not that it isn't good -- it is. I'm just not a fan of short fiction, usually, and I have a "Fiction To Read" list a mile long, so that's not what I look for here.

I just watched the apartment tour video and enjoyed it. You have a nice voice. (BTW, I just realized I didn't detect an accent at all this time.) So that kind of thing is fun too.

All that said, I always enjoy your site, so you should really do the things you enjoy.

...insisting she come over as she slides on a 3rd coat of lip gloss. And no one likes that girl.

No, the girl in this scene is perfectly likable until she refuses - after being asked, or begged - to pull her head out of her ass and let the relationship die. Blogging doesn't mistreat you the way he mistreats her (does it)? And if you've found something better for the time being, 's no big thang, right?

I am trying to think of something, but all of the ideas are either too squishy or too cerebral. Kinda like me. And while I can certainly relate to you, I suppose... I would not wish that upon anyone else. About being squishy and cerebral, I mean.

An update about the status of the screenplay would be nice, if you can post it without jinxing anything.

I've long wondered how you feel when you realize that you're being pursued in a romantic context - both before and after you decide if the attention is unwelcome - if there is such a before-and-after, as often there's not.

Also - Must. Have. Permalinks.

I want a photo essay with the theme of ambivalence and/or longing.

Begin a post with: "I'll never forget the night I..." and end it with the word "that was some butterfly" Put whatever you want inside the bread of the post. Bonus points if you don't have to make the shit up.

As long as we're on the whole improv tip where nets make the tennis game, give me a post in which every sentence begins with a sequential letter of the alphabet (i.e. first sentence A, second sentence B). Begin the cycle with the letter J.

What scares you? Explore those feelings/topics.

What thrills you? Explore those feelings/topics.

Check CafeShops in a few days, I should have the "Brittney Shaved Her Pubic Hair, And All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt" tees available....

what a bunch of sucky answers, except for the fact that shit floats.

Brit, anything about sex fascinates readers, the more personal the better. Interwoven with sarcasm, coyness, poignancy and your writing/thinking style, its a recipe for success. That or Armadillo's. Everybody EVERYBODY loves Armadillo literature.

Personally, it doesn't really matter to me what you write about, I'll read it and enjoy it no matter what, even if it's about nothing.

Why don't you try writing something in the style of someone else's blog? Either use someone's topic, or their sentence structure instead of yours, or adopt their level of snark, or whetever. Even if you miss the mark by miles, it'll still be all different and cool and shit.

(And funny - when I wrote about shaving myself, my hits dropped to, like, zero. And then the courts made me take the pictures down, and now both my readers have come back, and the whole episode is a lovely, itchy, fading memory. Go figure.)

Hey, it's hard enough for me to come up with topics. Think I'm gonna give 'em to you? ;)

Aah, lemme toss a few off:
What is the strangest conversation you have heard (directly or indirectly) as a bartender?

How old were you when you first realized that adults weren't always right?

Would you rather have dinner with Jesus or Satan?

Cannibalism.

Tort Reform.

Or, you can write about shaving your pubic hair, and have your hits skyrocket for a few days. This works for me.

The personal space post is an excellent idea. Very, very good, in fact.

I'm on it.

I must say, how about a post on personal space. I checked out your tour:

http://brittney.f2o.org/tour.htm

and was truly amazed that your place was more or less four walls, dare I say, prisonesque. Does this make your life simpler, harder, comfortable or claustrophobic. No doubt that your window to the internet makes this room seem bigger, but the internet is no substitute for the real world, is it?

Or you could discuss the easter special at:

You're far too hard on yourself.
For one thing, shit floats.
