so then, if you knew that's how to remove the icon (option-drag), but chose do it the obviously less convenient way, how can you complain that the way to remove it is "far from intuitive"? seems to me that since the universal method of removing a menu bar item works the same for the bluetooth item, the unintuitive part was your method. sort of akin to complaining that it's far more difficult to open a door without using your hands. this somehow being the fault of the door...
