Not that you'd ever take me up on the invitation, Auntie Social, but you should know that Muffalettas are frequently on the Bachelor Chow menu here at Casa Badcrumble, a mere four blocks from your beloved alma mater...

Muffalettas are a New Orleans invention, BTW. The real thing, from Central Grocery, is probably the official snack food of Heaven....

>Muffuletta, I know you are just a silly sandwich, but will you marry me?

Alright, but I have to know what I'm getting myself into. Post naked pictures and I'll consider it.

Muffadiverwhatnow? Where the heck can you acquire one of these Mooflelattes?

I like sammitches.

As the maker of said sammich - glad you liked it. But I must confess; ours is but an approximation of the real deal in that the bread is different (good, just different). I would divulge, but I will let our host decide on the appropriateness of commercial endorsements in her medium.

First of all, what the fuck is a Pho Bac? And where can I get one? I'm feeling all adventurous food-wise, of late. Not this adventurous, but a bit bold. Like you care.

And how fucking cool is it that the barista from The Red Rose in Murfreesboro reads my weblog? The other days he asks if I'm Brittney and I agree (this time) that yep, I am. And he's all "I've seen your site, you are a good writer." I, seriously, about shit 'em. I fucking dorked it up and acted like a moran and then kind of forgot about it.

Now the coffee dude commented at my site. (Hi, coffee guy!) Neaaaaat. [But, see, this is bad. 'Cause I am shy in real life. I'm gonna be all embarrassed next time I need a fix, and go in there, and be all withdrawn. But I gots no problem givin' him big ups on his spectacular sandwich and latte making abilities on this here computer page.

What. A. Weirdo.]

Pho bac is Vietnamese beef noodle soup.

Note about pho - if one is unaccustomed to it, it might be best to consume such varieties as are made on the premises where they are served.

Little did I know that my mistake in that regard would put me off Vietnamese food until further notice.

Added later: I mean, Fuckin' A, I'll merrily eat chorizo but my tummy can't handle pho well? Talk about sucky.

Best Sandwich On Earth. Period..

Brittney, you are one step ahead of me. I'm waiting for some counterguy to say "Are You the Cockeyed Absurdist?" and then I'm gonna have to cock my eyes and if what they told me as a kid is true, they stick that way.

Chorizo is good. When I worked in Greenwich CT. their used to be a place called Ashton's where they had a "Tex Mex benedict" where the canadian bacon and hollandaise were replaced with chorizo sausage and monterey jack. Yum.

And, I'm not that adventurous. I've never eaten snails or oysters for one. Although I have eaten deer and gator(in florida almost every bar serves gator bites, quite tasty if done well), ther is a place in the east village that serves kangaroo tartar and "skewers" and roasted emu. I may have to make like croc dundee and give that a shot.

Venison was a staple meal-time meat growing up, and I've had alligator as well (one year at the restaurant when Univ. of Tenn. played Florida, natch.)

Chorizo is good.

Yes it is, 'specially for breakfast (if you don't mind zing in your breakfast).

But it is sausage, with all that implies.
