reply to texas t6, I live in ohio and we have emissions testin here, if the trucks are runnin poorly , you will get excess fumes into the cabs and they will make you sick. We also found the little vent doors on the back will let exhaust in,, you may want to play with them as to which way you have them opened. I work in the VMF and fumes have always been a problem with these trucks. Ask your VMF if they have a gas analyzer that they can run the truck on to see how the exhaust gases are, there is certain limits they have to be within for epa regulation. If they are out of spec this maybe part of your problem. Hope this was helpful

Our LLVs are emitting quite a bit of exhaust and they are causing headaches to the left rear side of the carriers' heads. Does or has anyone else complained about this problem? When we complain, we are told that the vehicle has to be driven as is till the engine dies. How can we test how much exhaust is too much? How will this exhaust affect us now and in the future? We are to the point that we're going to submit safety forms on these vehicles. Our only way of dealing with this now is by stepping out of the vehicles to breathe fresh air and clear our heads. Any advice will help.

I need advice. i have been an unassigned regular since may 2009.i received
a letter on my time card saying i was awarded a residual assignment accorded to Article 39.2.A5 of the CBA.No bid was posted,i was not offered
the assignment. no one asked me if i wanted the assignment.i spoke with no
one about it.I am the most senior unassigned regular TTO!There are 3 other
drivers that are unassigned regs one being the ex craft president who is acting (literally) as a shop stewart since he lost the last election.
he is junior to me by 5yrs. the others are junior to him.recently the #1 TTO retired.I know for a fact i was assigned the bid that i did not want
so the ex pres could get the choice assignment.I went to the local president when i got wind of this action and accused the ex pres and management of collusion to prevent me from getting the choice assignment!
I have strong evidence that I was wronged! The ex craft pres and the local
pres are friends.i filed the grievence myself and gave it directly to the local pres to handle.I have a timestamped copy.if no action is taken by the local pres what is the next step for me? should i use the NLRB?
Management let it be known that they will abolish the choice schedule if i
continue to make waves.this situation sucks! what recourse do i have?

We seem to be in a loosing battle to keep MVS as a craft. They are all ready telling MVS supervisors to sent runs up in contractor format. We were all set up by upper management for failure, crap trucks that are costing more in repairs than there worth. Not being able to hire PTFs paperwork being held at the area level, driving up Overtime and Penalty OT costs with summer vacations. Not being able to hire casuals at good rate of pay that's set at 12 an hour with all the flexible hours that these people have to work they should be paid more. But no one wants the job for that money with no benefits. So when all is said and done and everything is weighed against MVS vs Contractor guess who going to get the work.

There is only one cable that retracts the door so when it breaks there is no easy way to open the door. Often the spring itself breaks and that will make it act the same way. Don't know if you have a VOMA or not so if you do just fill out a repair tag. No VOMA ... Still fill out the tag and tell your supervisor you can't work out of that vehicle.

Well it looks like Bobby and Mike did it again (maybe that could be a song) first it was the Drivers in Tacoma years of suffering than a huge sell out only 17 of the 32 drivers are returning and the other work the 15 drivers did is still being performed by the contractor. The arbitration that was won was thanks to the regional coordinator Omar, read the case Bob and Mike fucked up the 32 argument and we won on Omar’s constant demand that we but article 12 in the Grievance, thanks Omar. Second we have Columbus Ohio Bob and Mike have been working on the runs for the contractors for months and here we go Columbus is being contracted out and the drivers are being excessed up to 500 miles away, another great job. Well let’s not forget the ERT arbitration were the Arbitrator said that the Union filed the grievance untimely and we notified earlier than they said they were, or that they negotiated from 100% full time to 90/10 great job 10% of the craft not getting their hours. How about the casuals in MVS for allowing Management 10% PTF’s not the 0% they wanted we now have casuals all year long, how many never had casuals except for xmas now have then all year, another great job. The list goes on, Holddown not being utilized for maximization, from 2 hours to 1 hour the time utilized for a run reposting and many others. But let’s not forget the MOU on work rules the greatest accomplishment these 2 so called leaders have gotten for the craft. I hope their will be someone anyone running against them this election I will do whatever is needed to support anyone else, one thing I hope its not to late.
PS to all who support these 2, stop the charade and start thinking of the craft not your pocket.

HI my name is willie gonzalez,an EX-DISTRICT DSI,because they abolished our positions a week ago, apwu is working on it.but on the meantime, maybe i can answer someones question about vehicle doors, the new driver safety postal guidelines which are on the ELM-804 states that a letter carrier can have their door open,as long as 1-they are on their line of travel 2-no turns are made 3-the speed is less than 15 mph 4- they are not going for more than 500 feet without stopping, anything other than that ,please close your doors.same apply to shoulder harness, remeber the lap belt must be worn anytime the vehicle is in motion.

There have been some questions as to whether or not COLA is computed in retirement computations. As far as I can tell they are not - see below. Now, COLA is figured into your pay while your working.

FERS
http://www.usps.com/cpim/ftp/manuals/elm/h...mc5/elm580_006.html

586 Annuity Computation
586.252 Basic Pay
Basic pay for retirement purposes includes higher level pay but does not include cost-of-living adjustments (COLA, TCOLA), overtime pay, night differential, military pay, allowances, premium pay, or lump-sum terminal leave benefits.

CSRS

566 Annuity Computation
566.252 Basic Pay
Basic pay for retirement purposes includes higher level pay but does not include cost-of-living adjustments (COLA, TCOLA), overtime pay, night differential, military pay, allowances, premium pay, or lump-sum terminal leave benefits.

Jason/Omaha,
No it is not true, all of it. Yes part of the West side was contracted with more possible to come. We still have just under 200 drivers with plenty of overtime.

Further, the last time they contracted here it cost them 2.2 million and we got the work back. In fact the PO here alone has lost over 35 million in grievances in the last two years alone.

A problem they have is promoting bums from within for supervisors who did not deserve it in the first place, but they surely discover they can en richen themselves by screwing others.

I'm not so much "worried" about making my street time as I am annoyed by having to sit and wait while my LLV decides if it will eventually move. I'm curious by nature and I just want to know if and how this tranny can be repaired quickly. The transmission works fine in all respects except for the delayed shifting problem. If the tranny needs to be replaced then I will ask for that to happen. But I'm not worried about any of this. I'm just curious and I want it fixed. Thanks for worrying about my work ethic. I'll try harder to be a stubborn dullard for the sake of the union in the future. Now back to my original question - Does anybody know the make/model number of the tranny or how to make this thing shift on time?
MvsPedro  179

rockhead, it is nice of you to worry about making your street time. On the other hand, have you ever heard the expression "cha-ching"? You are not responsible for getting that LLV fixed, other than notifying your supervisor that there is a problem with it. Tell your supervisor, then let him/her worry about it.
rockhead  176
10-15-2007 09:07 PM ET (US)
Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, but here is my situation - The transmission in my LLV is only two months old, but since the day that it was installed it does the following very annoying and time wasting thing - when the gear shift lever is moved into any gear (Drive, Reverse, Low...) the transmission will pause for exactly two whole seconds before it actually shifts into the chosen gear. You might be saying "so what?", but this is a really big deal for me on a hop'n'stop route. I have never had a LLV that did this and it is killing my street time. Does anybody know if there is something that can be done to make the tranny shift on time? Our local VOMA guy is a good guy, but he only does simple parking lot type maintenance and he doesn't really have an answer for me. Also, what is the make and model number of the transmission that is used in the LLV's? Thanks in advance for any help. Rockhead in Yuma, AZ.

Phx Mvs is going downhill fast. We are losing routes, we are hiring only casuals, and the new Supervisor is bringing in his buddies from outside of MVS to make us fail. They have no idea what our business is about.

The Union here is a joke, I'm getting out. Every holiday we, are mandated, to show a high cost of operations and all we do is sit around with no work that needs to be done. This shows a high cost and contractors can do it cheaper.
It's a joke here and steadily going downhill.

Is it true in the Phoenix, Az. area. that Mvs used to have some two hundred usps drivers, but now they have contracted out most of the northern and eastern Phx routes to contractors and they are trying to cut it back to 100 or less.

I'm a regular-flex employee - I've been on a hold down for a little over a year and love it. I was told that I'm going to be converted to a Regular-Employee status real soon. I was told by the employee who's hold down that I'm on - that he won' t be back until October 2008 (Military Service) I would like to keep this hold down and pass being a regular right now. Is there any way I can do this? That is pass being converted to a Regular Employee and pass it onto the next Regular-Flex Employee. (MVS Craft)(APWU)

Can someone help me understand why this is true. I will use a scenario to try to explain. Transportation categorizes drivers with MVO (Bomber) or TTO (Trailer) status. The facility I work out of has two (2) lists (one for TTO's and one for MVO's).

From what I understand, an employee with less time on the job and currently on a regular trailer run is able to out-bid someone with more time on the job and is on a regular bomber run?...

This makes NO sense.

For example:

Employee A is a bomber driver and has 15 years on the job.

Employee B is a trailer driver and has 2 years on the job.

Both have a CDL-A license, qualifying both for trailer work.

Yet...

Employee B (the current trailer driver with 2 years) gets preference to pick trailer jobs during reorg. over Employee A who has 15 years?????

Is this nationwide or only true in the facility I work at? Either way, I'm not sure why this is the case. Can someone share their thoughts?

Thanks!

Hi all. I'm a PTF for 6 months now, and i love this job. My question is , i was in a small accidence in a 2-ton couple days ago. What happen was while i was pulling out of the loading dock, i scraped the 2-ton next to me, and cracked his passenger side window. My supervisor then immediatly suspended 2-ton license, and i have to go to the Driver's traning unit for safely classes next week.
Does anyone know what the "classes" is consist of?? Safely video?? or something more serious like interview with a traning instructor?? What's the worst that this could happen to me?? Thanks in advance!!

hey guys, anyone know what a level 9 or 10 will upgrade to under the new contract on Feb 2008? on page 22 table 3 the level 6 upgrades to 7, 7 to 8, 8 to 9, it skips 9 and 10, then 11 moves to 10 and 12 to 11. let me make it clearer before i confuse myself.

old>new
3>4
4>5
5>6
6>7
7>8
8>9
11>10
12>11

under this, I would assume that old levels 9,10,and 11 would move to the new 10?????
anyone know??? thanks

Happy New Year to Everyone!

I have installed new forums at PEN for everyone to utilize. I respectfully request that you at least try them out. You may find our new forums here:

http://www.postalemployeenetwork.com/phpforum/index.php

Why new forums? simply because PEN does not own our current forums - they are owned by Quick Topic. This limits our ability to manage the forums - not only that, but we must pay Quick Topic for use of these forums. We own our new forums. Please give them a try. In the near future we may cease using Quick Topic forums altogether.

THANKS!

Craft senioity is the day your transfer is accepted. Postal or service time is the date you were originally hired by the USPS. For instance, I was a carrier for 2 years then transferred to MVS 6 months ago. I kept my company time for my pension, leave, and progressive pay status. Just started as a PTF on the bottom of the list, which is 10 times better than being the highest on the list of any carrier if driving is your thing. hope this helps

I got in Philly 5 months ago with a Class B. I had 2 years as a carrier and 8 years driving experience prior to that with Class B experience. We have mostly 7 tons, maybe where you're looking they're all trailer jobs. With a Class B youd work either Tour 1 or Tour 2 (300 or 1100). Tour 3 is all tractor work. Good luck

I made an inquiry about getting in as an mvo and I was told by a motor vehicle supervisor that "technically" you need a class A and 6 months of tractor trailer experience to get in. Does anyone know what he meant by technically, is their anyway I can get in with a B. Also, what are the hours like, if I get in would I be working 1st, 2nd and third shifts 7 days a week as a mvo ptf ?

:/m145 MVS WILL train you, on the clock, for your Class A once you transfer and are accepted. All you need is Class B to get in. At least thats all I needed to get into MVS. There is no darkside, carrying that bag was work, this is a skilled position in the eyes of the PO. Barely any labor just a lot of driving, and no time requirements like carrying.

Burnsy, I am not sure of the transfer so soon, besides you have to wait for an opening in the MVS where you are. once you are accepted in MVS they would give you a refresher. How much exp do you have driving trucks????

My advise would be continue as a carrier until you find an opening in MVS.

I possess a CDL Class A and would like to know if it is possible to transfer before my 90 days is up. My license is clean, but I haven't driven a semi in about seven years. Do I need to take a refresher course on my own or will the postal service train me? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

A mail carrier friend of mine recently bought a 1984 AMC FJ-8C postal vehicle which needs a lot of work and some spare parts. Other than vehicle junkyards, what are some sources for replacement REAR BRAKE DRUMS, REAR BRAKE SHOES and a shop MANUAL for the FJ-8C? My friend is desperately trying to find these spare parts but does not have a computer so I have volunteered to help. (This is a revised version of message #137 posted within the past 30 minutes). mvo is level 6, like .40 an hour less. Sounds like i'm making the right move if Philly is anything like your DC. I was looking at the national and read that MVO/TTO are NOT required to work 7 days a week, but can volunteer. I already expect to work holidays being at the bottom of the list. But, with 3 years in already I still get 4 weeks AL, so that helps. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have been driving tractor trailers for 18 years, so I really cant say for sure. I have never been in any other craft. But from what I have seen I would have to say yes. what pay level is MVO? TTO are level 7.
we generally get as much over time as we want. or have the option of just running our route and going home after shift is over. also as a TTO you have the option to work all three tours.

Of course if you come in to a TTO spot as a PTF you will work the holidays, and sometimes will/can work seven days a week. So it has it's downside too.

hey trapman
Im assuming as a TTO you have more flexibility in routes you can take and the ability to make FTR quicker. I am in as MVO , July 8 to be exact, my present office held me as Im a carrier. Ill probably get my class A as soon as i can, as long as i get free training, I can drive anything just never got my A. In your mind is TTO a better spot than MVO?

danss396,

This Union Steward that tells you this, Is he your craft director? do you have more than one steward on your tour???? If you can not get any action from the steward in your area try a different Union steward in another craft, like the clerk craft. If that does not work get in touch with your locals president. Man I thought we had some issues with our sup's here in STL. but you need someone enforcing the contact, not being buddies with the sup.

If No one is involved with being a steward, then get involved! become a steward, go to the meetings, get to know the contract!!!!!
I have been a union steward here in STL since I got my 1st 90 days in, I just made FTR as of today! in the MVS we have one steward on tour one, three plus the craft director on tour two, and two stewards on tour three. that is just in MVS.

from NAPUS Nov. 9, 2005:
The Postal Service has received authority from the Office of Personnel Management to offer Voluntary Early Retirements (VER) to postal employees (including Postmasters) in areas that were severely impacted by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The USPS will determine who will be offered VER’s in the storm torn areas of AL, LA, MS, and Houston. Additional information on the VER will be provided as soon as it becomes available.

I hope someone in this forum may be able to give me a recommendation for my vehicle. It has come the time to replace my brake pads on my 2005 Jeep Wrangler that I use on my route. Friends have told me that there are brake pads on the market now which are designed for "severe duty" [police cruiser/delivery vehicles/fleet vehicle use] and that 10,000 miles can be gotten out of them. Would anyone here put their $0.02 in as to where I could find some brake pads like this or be able to recommend a particular brand? Many thanks in advance!

Hi all MVS folks out there. Here in Las Vegas we have an incredible need for TTOs. Our bid cycle is fast approaching and our need for more TTOs is growing. We here need help and fast. I am not sure if I should give out contact stuff here so I won't. Just see your H.R. people to check out our H.R. phone numbers and the jobs in TTO that are ready to fill. I will say this, our GMF/plant is on Sunset Road and Paradise. If you are from out of town and need a general idea of what area of town we are in.

Greetings everyone ! I'm new to this site, and thought I'd say a few words. I'm one of two female MVO's at our plant (she's FTR and I'm PTF). I read a comment from someone who says they're working 6 days a week; so do I, most weeks, but the total hours I usually get runs in the mid 20's. Still, I like the job - even after over 3 years (nearly 8 months as a casual and 2-plus years as a PTF). Are there other PTF-MVO's getting better hours ?

Also, MVO's here load and unload themselves, at Main and at the stations.

Thanks for the info Trap Man. So it seems that in order to continue my gov't service i'll need to hook on with the USPS and not MCA. I'll be relocating back to California and I see there are only exam announcements in the San Diego area so am I correct in assuming the TTO position is only available for that area? Is there a norm for the amount of time it takes between taking the exam, interview, and hiring? Are there any more forums where I could be informed such as these you could point me towards? My hands are kind of tied since I'm still over here in the desert. Thanks again for your time. Bjohns

Cant speak for the rest of the post offices, but in the central part of the country all the OTR work is done by postal contractors, not postal empoyees. I used to work for Mail Contractors of America out of Little Rock AR. before getting on at the PO. here I work an eight hour shift, home everyday, paid by hour,OT after eight hours,OT after 40 hours, benefits, etc.

We the postal drivers, just pick up and delever mail to the smaller POs around the lagre Metro PO,Bulk Mail centers, Air mail centers,Etc.

I will be completing my active duty service in 5 months. I drove OTR for 3 yrs prior to enlisting and drove during my 4 yr enlistment. I'm curious about how driving OTR for USPS works? Do you need to be an O/O or are there company trucks? Am I limited to driving out of the areas where the exams are posted? Is pay per mile/hour? Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated. Please email me at brad_johnson430@yahoo.com. Thanks for your time.

I am a carrier, but I have a motor vehicle service question, hopefully someone here can answer it. A buddy of mine was hired as a casual motor vehicle operator. As his 90th day was approaching, he was told he would be laid off for 1 day, then rehired for a second 90 day term.

The night before his "layoff day", he was called at home and told to report to work on the day he was supposed to be laid off.

At one of his stops that day, he mentioned to a dispatcher what happened, and the dispatcher told him because they didn't lay him off that 1 day, he is now a career employee. His supervisor has not said anything to him, and he does not want to push the issue until he has all the facts.

Does anybody have an answer ?

JUST ME,
Where I am it just depends on the time of day, and what dock at the P&DC you are at, as far as who loads or unloads.
At the stations we just roll it off the truck and just in side the station doors.
At the AMC they load and unload the trailer.
the Priority annex they do the loading and unloading.

Mike.

Just who's job is it for moving the OTR , APC & pallets into and out of the stations and PD&C. Is this something mailhandlers are suspose to be doing all time - or is it the TTO's job. I've heard that at some PD&C's & stations - a mailhandler would file on a driver even helping loading or unloading the mail. But we must do it ourselves at out PD&C and alot of the time - there is no one at the stations to even help (middle of the night and weekends). I'm not giving my name or city - just in fear that a big boss - would see it and we all know what would happen - they would be watching me.

This message is to all posters at PEN

Thank you for your continued support, your postings at PEN, and for your understanding.

The person who is posting all of the derogatory and insulting remarks under false names is attempting to downgrade our forums - insult each of you - insult me - and generally disrupt conversations here at PEN.

This persons IP address is 66.53.62.85 - along with various other IP addresses. I have banned this IP address as well as several others that he uses, but he keeps coming back. I have contacted the owner of Quick Topic (Steve Yost) and asked for his assistance, but I do not believe he can do anything about it - hopefully I am wrong.

Each person who uses a computer has an IP address issued from their internet service provider. I can ban their IP address here, but they can request a new IP address from their service provider...so, the cycle is almost endless.

I apologize to you. Please know that I am doing everything that I can to keep our boards clean. It may help if you would scroll to the bottom of each forum page at PEN, click on the contact us link, and send a request to Steve Yost to stop this person from posting at our forums. The additional attention may give Mr. Yost the push to do something about this.

KNOW THIS PLEASE
I DO NOT post at other postal site forums. I do not visit other postal sites. I have always dedicated myself to PEN and that is the way it will remain.

I gave my friend VetCarrier admin rights to this board. I would be more than willing to provide others the same rights at other PEN forums if you will contact me. I need assistance at each of our forums in an effort NOT to censure, but to keep our forums clean, on topic, and helpful.

Please bear with us as we attempt to solve this problem.

Highly unlikely they will work with your schedule. They would expect your other employer to work with their schedule. There is no way to tell how long it would take to become regular. You will not be guaranteed 40 hours per week. On the other hand, you might get a great deal of overtime. There is no way to tell.

Hi Folks, I just got a letter from the postal service saying that my name has been reached on the register for tractor trailer operator,(part time flexible.) St Louis vehicle mantenance facility.
I have a pre employment interview already set up. from this point how soon could I be starting?
I have a few questions.
1. I have a job now with a postal contractor running a HCR.
I have three days off from this job each week, would they (postal service)work with this schedule, so i would not have to quit the contractor?
2. how many hours a week could i expect?
3. how long would it take to become full time?
I really want to get on at the USPS just I do have bills and a family to support, and i have senoirity at my current job, dont want to give that up for a part time job, unless i would get around 40 hrs a week min.
Thanks for any replys.

If you have not already done so, please have a look at the petition to investigate the merger of the APWU and NPMHU.

http://www.petitiononline.com/npmhu/petition.html

The merger of these two large postal unions can result in increased strength, solidarity and organizational power within our changing and threatened work place. Reduction of infighting and grievance activity that currently takes place between the separate unions will eliminate the USPS management’s “divide and conquer” tactic, which successfully undermines all craft employees.

We the undersigned do hereby petition and request the leadership of the National Postal Mail Handlers Union and American Postal Workers Union to take all necessary steps to fully investigate a merger between said unions. This investigation shall fully explore all possible ramifications and legal obstacles of a merger that results in the formation of one union that represents all employees currently under the jurisdictions of these two unions.

Hi! I am looking for a good old dependable mail delivery truck, my favorite truck ever was the FJ-8C. Does anyone out there have one that they want to sell? I am in Cheyene and these trucks would be perfect out here on a rural route. Even if there is an FJ-8A or B, I would be willing to buy it. After trying my luck with other RHD vehicles, I KNOW I want to go back to the old faithful. Please call me at 307-637-0041 or email me @ avidingchaos@aol.com. Thanks! I look forward to hearing from someone VERY soon!

Hello all, I am the rpoud owner of a '96 Monte LS with 187k miles. Looks just as good as it did when I bought it, and runs just as good as well. I ONLY WISH I could say it shifted into overdrive as good as it used to.... Anyone else had this problem? (FYI: It has a 3.1L 60dgre V-6, 4 speed auto w/ lockout) It used to hit OD around 54 MPH if I was taking it easy on it, but about a week ago, my service engine soon light came on, and it's only hit OD twice since then. Even if I take her up to 90 MPH, it stays in fourth. I have flushed ther tranny and put a new filter in every year since I've owned it, and it's only been about 4 months sice the last time I've done it.
SOME MORE FYI: My car's thermostat must be sticking, because for about the last year and a half, if I'm going down the road and it's cold out, it barely gets off the 120 degree mark. BUT, even when it's up to normal temp (for me it's like a third of the way up from cold)ALSO, lately I've noticed that it USES a little bit of tranny fluid. About a half pint per 2 months.
Please help me! Thanks, (If you respond, it'd be better if you sent it to my e-mail, (pkilcherman@informationmatters.com) but I'll try to keep an eye on this forum. THANKS FOR ALL! MONTE CARLO'S ARE THE BEST![

Thought I would list a new Message Board system that Rick Owens, the founder of Postal Employees Network setup in late June of 2003. It is listed at the bottom of his "Quick Topics Forum" list that brought us each here from the Postal Employee Network, but is not being seen by most, nor utilized to it's fullest.

http://postalworkz.proboards20.com/

Looks like Rick Owens is leaving this forum up in conjunction with the new one, so it will take an organized effort by everyone that visits here to use the new Message Board.

The advantage to the new board that he created is that it allows organized responses to topics created and moves away from the streaming thought text postings here. I am new to this forum I know, but had been involved in the creation and management of free open forum message boards on a daily basis for the past 3 years as a Moderator. I can without a doubt say that the Message Board type he is wanting to use is SOooo Much Better than this type. I hope that we as USPS employees can better share knowledge and experiences through an organized method of communication, thus why I am posting this wonderful New Message Board system that Rick Owens has created for the Postal Employee community.

If you are looking to transfer within your district, check out the DIRECT LINE publication. The last few issues (current issue dated june 6) for the western area has an indepth list of transfers available in the our area. Perhaps your area has such a listing too. It's worth looking into it. Western Area listings currently available cover the following states: WA, OR, ID, CO, MT, WY, MN, NE, SD, ND, KS, MO, IA and AK

Jeff,
Thanks for the response. I have done what you suggested initially and the feedback seemed favorable. But to talk to a PTF at that particular facility would be ideal in order to get the true picture. I am trying to do that presently.
Thanks again.

Where can I find a list of postmasters in florida? Or how can I get myself out of this place and transfer to another vmf where they actually take pride in their work? I want to relocate to FLA. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Chuck, your best bet is to contact the Shop Steward at the particular facility that you want to work at and ask him about the conditions. Each place has its own inherent problems and no two are alike.

I am in the process of changing crafts to MVO (7-ton). Is there anyone currently in this craft working in NYC with specifically focusing on Staten Island NY that can provide me some insight on how subs are treated by management?
Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.
