well we have a lot of ska kids maybe we need a ska mom (a skam)i understand this name may carry some unwanted connotations though. maybe being an evil step skam would be more disirable. dont take this suggustion the wrong way, mothers are the best. (excluding the kehoe family mom) you would be one of those awesome moms everyone wants to party with, i know i do!!

I would like to just say that I love the SKA message board. It makes my hour in 17th Century European History so much more enjoyable!

Mandy is the only Bitch Ass Ho Bag. She has earned that title. We should start nominating names for Heather though she realy needs a skanickname. I however recuse myself from the nominating process. It is up to you Skamates.

Wish I could buy you a case of IPA Jeff. I owe you and Eli big time. I can't believe you all didn't even get to see Derik and Heather. I shouldn't have told him to go. Mandy, don't miss that safety meeting OK? Safely rules. Miss you too.

I tried to post this cool thing that I got from my work screen that reminded me of the SKA. It's a time tracker where you track what you have done that day. Only today did I notice that one of the choices was "safety meeting!" I didn't know we could have those at work!! Hez, you can have the "bitch ass ho bag" name, I don't mind. Congrats on your new niece!! I miss you guys. This weekend it's also supposed to be very warm here. I am going to drink beer, ride bikes, and watch Hawkeyes!!

To be fair it was the I-70 Business corridor, but yeah far cry from Turkey Creek Lane. 70 degree weather this weekend!!! I will ride a bike and enjoy an IPA.

waaaaaaait a minute! I thought MANDY was the bitch ass ho bag! did i miss something?!?! am i not remembering the ride clearly?? mike - we missed you big time on the ride - we were really looking forward to seeing you. we're super happy you hear you're ok. i took a little spill on the ride, but am ok, too. the road rash might stop oozing green stuff any day now, the scabs on my nose and forehead have fallen off, my front teeth have firmed up (they were a little loose) and the bruises on my lip and eyelid are fading. my left butt cheek is BLACK though - but most people don't have to look at that. soon i'll make an appointment for some new glasses - the goudges are interfering with my vision. i'm just glad they aren't broken - it could have been a LOT worse! OH! ALSO - about the time we got to catfish katy's (the first time) Jen and Chris gave birth to a little girl - Stella Ann. The next generation of ska is growing! Stella and Layla will have to fight over Jack :)

What a great post Team Dummy. I laughed my ass off when I heard you were in Donnellson, IA. On the former SKA website we had a Ragbrai video from about 5 years ago in Donnellson, IA of me and I think a couple more SKA dancing with a local Donnellson-ite. The dude's butt crack was hanging out of his jean shorts at least 6 inches. I laughed so hard that day I nearly peed my pants. Thanks for the memory... and the good times last weekend! Great to see all you SKA! It always reminds me of what is important in life: biking, vulgarity, camaraderie, and safety! What a blast!! Thanks to all my transporters too. I wanted to let Matt know that the following day, per our conversation, I had a personal pan pizza and thought about book-it. **** FREE PIZZA

well ska this event was totally an epic adventure. friday started with the four hour drive to columbia and the weather kept our spirits high. awesome to see the skabubble of tents in nate's backyard saturday morning (thanks nate & meredith for your skaspitality). true to ska form we arrived late to start of the ride, but better to be safe (!) than sorry. mike, it's good to hear you're feeling better...total bummer but you deserved some ska love after all the love you've shared with us ska brats. the katy trail was fucking beautiful and we couldn't have asked for better weather. blake had fun finding out just how much shit he could carry on his dummy. it was nice to meet hillz and katie, the potatoheads! heather (bitch ass ho bag) and derrick (spoon) it was great to meet you (amelia) and reunite once again (blake). heather, i can tell we're going to be bff! (amelia). THANKS TO MIKE D: 1 awesome ska event 2 awesome trail 3 awesome weather (how'd you pull that one off?) 4 f-awesome B & B, thanks for the great deal (if you're ever in rocheport, mo you must stay at the yate's house. they feed you incredible food and you simply melt into their king-size beds) 5 awesome movie in the "park" 6 your awesome awesomeness
the journey did not end for team dummy at the end of the katy trail, though, for our little engine that we thought could, died 100 miles out from ic. we pulled off the interstate and the truck died under an overpass. so, what else, but to ska on! we unloaded our bicycles and loaded them with our gear, made the short ride into town and found the crappiest and only motel in donnellson, ia called the avenue of the saints motel. they had a vacancy, believe it or not. ha. it was so dirty, far from the luxury of the B&B, that we were thanking the skagods we had our sleeping bags and towels to sleep in and on the untouchable twin bed. yuck!! we made some calls (apparently: "anything that ain't donnellson is long distance, honey). by three o'clock sunday afternoon, a new radiator and serpentine belt got the truck running and we were on our way home. we were pleasantly surprised to find our beta fish, walter, was still alive and chillin in his castle. skarley matt: we found your safety equipment in the grass of the "outdoor cinema." we kept it safe while it kept us safe during the rather long adventure. find us when you're in the ic with your girlyfriend. we understand, safety first! so, ska, thanks again. for everything. we had so much and at times too much fun. until the next ride, ska on!
