AppleWorks: It's only barely been carbonized, needs to be brought fully into the OS X world. There is still no real OS X "office" app, with integrated WP/draw/paint/DB/SS. I do multilingual work, and AW's total Unicode-deafness is frustrating, just as was its WorldScript I-deafness before X: Apple's own flagship app never worked with Apple's own Hebrew, Arabic and Indian Language Kits, and still it works only with Chinese/Japanese/Korean, not with any of the other languages built into X, all of which rely on Unicode. Unicode is great, but we need an app as well as an OS to do anything with it. At present, the only Unicode-capable word processor usable with X is TextEdit! (TextEdit is pretty capable, actually, kind of like the original MacWrite, but it's certainly not a "modern" word processor.) Also, AW 6's forgetting how to open any docs earlier than Word 6 was stupid; who would it hurt if AW could still open MacWrite, Word 4/5, WriteNow, MacDraw, MacPaint and other old docs?

While I'll certainly welcome the AppleWorks update, and I think it would be a smart business move, it works well for me now. Personally, I need BIG iCal improvements.
(Side note: while I know there are numerous reports of iMovie bugs, it has been cooperating for me...)

I'm with Rob! Update AppleWorks and poke another finger in M$'s eyeball. Increasing cash flow would benefit Apple (as it would any company).

No doubt iCal needs to be updated, but AppleWorks gets my vote. AppleWorks could be an MS killer. According to a Developer I know, an updated Apple Works is forthcoming.

Hey Dirtbag (I couldn't resist...),
Yes, the Finder could stand some improvements, but that isn't likely to happen until the hype show rolls through town at the WWDC in June with word about Panther. And of course Acrobat is not an Apple product. Get a hold of Adobe to get its butt in gear with that one...

How about making the FINDER cocoa. Or: "Where is Acrobat 6"

I throw my hat in the ring for AppleWorks. It has not been touched other than being Carbonized since the arrival of Mac OS X, and Apple can actually make money by upgrading this program rather than another of the free iApps.
Yes, iCal is woeful as well, but it doesn't hold income potential in a direct way like AppleWorks...

Without question... iCal! I love the idea of subscription-based calendars, but the app overall seems to be very half-assed. I could easily come up with a laundry list of things I'd like to see fixed/added.
