How many people are there in your family? I was told that there were 3 brothers from the PI who decided to change their last name from Magahis to Magahiz. One brother stayed in Bataan and grew horses, Another went abroad (He's my Great Grandfather). I was not sure what happened to the third brother. Are you familiar with your family tree?

Greetings to you as well, and pleased to meet you.
Yes, I've seen the spelling with 's' also. The one thing that the spelling change did for me was when I used to share an office with three other postdocs, all of whom also had the letter 'z' in their last name. Also when I make hotel reservations when visiting Canada and have to spell my name, I have to remember to pronounce that letter 'zed' so they understand me.
It's a difficult name for Americans to pronounce - I tell people that there are many schools of thought on the correct pronunciation, and that they're all pretty much correct.

Well the new site redesign is "live" now, though I am going to give it some time to settle before promoting it much. But I have submitted the link to a couple of search engines and am seeing a few robot hits in my logs.
