Hmm, it's possible this might include my paternal grandfather, who I'm told was a master cabinetmaker by profession. I don't know anything about great-uncles though.

My father is the youngest in his family which had a house on Corregidor when he grew up. He was born in 1921 if I am not mistaken. All my aunts and uncles on that side have passed on by now.

As for me, I grew up in California and I've never been to the Philippines personally.

I was surfing the net one day and thought of typing in my mother's maiden last name in the search bar and wait if anything will appear? to my surprise, several topics appeared with family name "Magahis" from what i know, We, The Magahis were originated from Balayan, Batangas, actually my mom. I was told also by my mom that there are other Magahis Family that are not related to us, and this side of Magahis are from Balayan Batangas as well. What i do not know is that there are Magahis also from Bataan? if we will trace our family tree we might somehow be connected? My mother's name is Maurita Jonson Magahis (her maiden name) she has one brother and a sister. My grandparents were: Florentino Alano Magahis and Eulogia Tinchuangco Jonson. Id really like to trace my family and never thought that internet will help me in giving me information. you can email me artnation@email.com

I was just curious and wanted to find some family namesake or relatives. My grandfather's name is Pedro Parayno Alano. According to my father, my grandfather's root is Sta. Barbara, Pangasinan. My grandfather was a former employee of the Register of Deeds in Lingayen, Pangasinan. My grandparents settled in Lingayen, Pangasinan. My father is still going strong at age 85. I would like to correspond and meet immediate and distant relatives. I am in the Philippines right now but I will be migrating to the US within this year. Please correspond at fly_high_tr59@yahoo.com. Thank you...Cesar

I am personally unaware of any relatives of mine from Pangasinan, or with the family name Alano.

Good luck and best wishes, Rich
