That's just wrong. A zoo is bad enough, but to confine a little monkey to a rattling, tiny cage, inside some selfish "monkey lover's" home should be a crime. I'm hoping this is a joke.

As someone who has dealt with the "exotic" pet industry before, I most certainly agree. While reptiles seem to be the most commonly imported and sold, even they (despite their hardy nature and simple requirements) are beyond most people's means to care for properly. Primates simply do not function properly (socially or physically) in a "pet" situation. To try to raise one in such a way is deplorable.
