Yay, I just saw Reloaded, so I'm all prepared for your review. So let's have it. There was a lot about it that I dug, and a lot that disappointed me. But who cares what I think? That's a rhetorical question.

I just saw Matrix Reloaded today, managed to get in to a theater that wasn't crowded. As usual I managed to get the middle seat in the third row unobstructed at that theater that no one wants to go to because it's old and just doesn't look as cool as that new big mega-plex on the otherside of town. I do so want to hear your opinions on the movie. I thought it was quite a good movie. I think it will be easier to appreciate when the third movie comes out, ie Empire Strikes Back. Overall it had three really great elements that I love in movies: kick-ass kung-fu, car chases, and something cereberal to think about. Plus it actually managed to suprise us with plot twists, although they were a bit subtle.

On the subject of moustaches, I've also wondered what it is about firemen and moustaches. I've never heard the adage about not trusting people with moustaches, and I think it an odd one considering firemen are people you are supposed to trust quite a bit. Although, it does remind me of the book I'm reading, Tom Clancy's Executive Orders, a novel about a war in Iraq and a nationwide sickness. It is an increadibly detailed and in depth book, and quite realistic too. I keep running in to the problem of confusing reality with the novel, ie when watching the tele about the war in Iraq I keep thinking, no thats not the way it happened did it? Oh anyways, in the book Hussein is never refered to by name, rather simply he is "The Moustache". What was that about trusting men with moustaches?

its crass, but you've got great...

To which I enthusiastically add:

"It is worth repeating at this point the theories that Ford had come up with, on his first encounter with human beings, to account for their peculiar habit for continually stating and restating the very very obvious, as in 'It's a nice day,' or 'You're very tall,' or 'So this is it, we're all going to die.'

"His first theory was that if human beings didn't keep exercising their lips, their mouths probably shriveled up.

"After a few months of observation, he had come up with a second theory, which was this - 'If human beings don't keep exercising their lips, their brains start working.'"

Sorry. Begged to be quoted.
