It sounds like a problem with the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the laptop. It's fixable under AppleCare or as a paid-for repair;

I just maxed out my memory, so I went in and deleted a lot of songs that I didn't want off of itunes. (I know I can just uncheck them, I really just don't want them at all) Then I put in the new songs I wanted in itunes. I clicked sync, and when I unplugged my ipod when it was done, I had less songs than before. When I checked, I had only taken off the old songs. It did not put new ones on. I tried several more times, but the new songs on itunes won't go onto my ipod! Please help!

i intend to only use itunes gift cards when buying my songs and whatnot so is there any way that i can skip over the credit card part of the sign up process??
