proximity is totally a 'guy' thing. I've got an old muscle car; every time I lift the hood at the gas station I get at least one 'guy' wandering over telling me about his friend's car, or this car he saw once, or about my car (like I don't know what it is) and getting everything wrong. Some guys are just like that; proximity = meaning = coolness. Not to be mean, but I think it has more to do with them feeling like they are missing out on something, but they aren't willing/able/aware of how to get it, so they subsitute something else that's *looks* kinda like the real thing. Like thinking that an SUV is 'outdoorsy', or that standing next to a model somehow rubs off onto you making you look cooler. I say 'guys' just cause, to me, there are Guys, Boys, and Men. One ain't better than the other; but it seems most males I know fall into one of those three camps, with most of them being 'Guys'.

The gang signs are a bit much. It reminds me of 'Michael Bolton' from the movie Office Space... Heck, someone should do a 'fat chicks in party hats' style website about fat white nerds flashing gang signs...
