This is not a question as much as a comment. The purpose was to prove mathematically that their methods would yield a solution within a certain limit. Although I could follow the math superficially, it gave me no real feel for the algorithm, nor the differences they induced.

Boosting algorithms is one of the interesting new idea that I was introduced to, in this class. From the paper on Brownboosting, After looking at some other papers that compare the three main boosting algorithms, namely, Adaboost, Brownboost, and Logitboost. In all the papers, Adaboost doesn't stand out and as expected, fails with the addition of noise. My question is, why is so that Adaboost seems to have gotten most of the publicity, It was very hard to find any applications of Brownboost, as was also mentioned in the class. Is this primarily becuase Adaboost was introduced before the other two?
