Morgan, ya gotta check your spelling of "poeple". J/K
And for Joe, I agree that many people like these games, but, not for the reason you pointed out. Sure, some people might shoot people on games because it is against the law to do it in real life, but not 100 % of the buyers are the same killing way. And Joe, if they were all that way, wouldn't you scared that if you made them mad they might just snap and go outside the game?
Sorry Kiley, but no comment on you message because I'm too lazy to read the whole book. J/K

Oh, Kiley, I read your first line of your message and it sounds to me like the girls are teaming up against the guys. So, Joe, if you want me on your side you gotta convince me, or I'll argue both sides. :)

i also agree with joe but i also think that some people use violent video games to blow off steam. for example during the yogurt project i was verry steamed every day i got home so i played some violent videogames and called it good. it really healps me but it can have the opasite affect on people that havn't been tought that it's not normal to go around killing people. this behaver breeds things like drivebys and school raids.

I still say, if your parents say you can play it, then guess what, you can play it!

I agree w/Morgen, because what good are violent games. I did see something on the knews that said that shooting games like Halo and Counter-Strike all help us teens be better drivers, because they make our brains think. They also help us multi-task and teaches us to kind of focus out and be able to catch little movements. I pley Halo and Counter-Strike, and I have to admit that they are fun, but i hate that junk like Grand Theft Auto 3. There is just know point to it. I like statigy games like starcraft and games that have a story line or a mission that invalves stratigy. Games that are made just to be violent are junk.

I think that they should forget about outlawing violent games, and should go after bloody/gutrenching games. I mean if you shoot someone in the head with an anti-tank gun (that’s a big gun!!) in the game Battlefield 1942 Road to Rome the guy just falls over. His body is fine and you don't see any blood. If you punch someone in Grand Theft Auto 3 the guy spurts blood. If all of you are against bloody games then say that. Don't blame shooting games, because some shooting games are fine.

I will stick with saying that it not thwe game but the person who plays it. I play these games sometimes and i am not some blood thirsty psycho who wants to kill someone. Nor are any of my Friends. An alternative to killing games is also found in paintball games. Ultimate Paintball Challenge is a computer game where you can experience the thrill of a first person shooter game without actually killing anyone or seeing any blood. There isn't even any language in paintball games.

I get your point Matt but not all people who play those type of games are like you. Many people are "blood thirsty psychos."

And "Harold" who are you and what does your message have to do with what we are talking about here?

I still stand that minors should not be allowed to play M rated games, T rated ones are violent enough.
