I always thought well of being a node on a Gnutella network. When you sign on you can in realtime passively view the search requests that are passing through your node.
There are steps on the path to enlightenment revealed that way, perhaps.
Or at least the occasional laugh.
I am deeply curious to know, meanwhile, for what sort of material you were searching. Half prurience and half plain-old curiosity - I am not feline, therefore I do not fear death, hee - compose that depth.
[As for myself, I found porn some ten or twelve months ago to be boring, and since have been exploring the nooks and crannies of my own mind in order to fuel that fire. An interesting exercise, one in which I wish I hadn't fallen so far out of practice.]
