If you have upgraded to a new apple with an Intel processor, then your appleworks is doomed as it is not supported. Your best bet is to try to convert your files to Word for Mac and carry on. Peter Murphy

When I go to open or close an Appleworks file, that little circle thing spins and nothing happens like forever. What can I do? (I am using ApplWorks 6.2.7, and OS X 10.4.8, and did not have this problem before.)

Best bet, upgrade to OS 10.4. No more problems.

I am running an Emac using 10.3.3 and have been using AppleWorks with much success. All of a sudden, when I try to go to the programme, the beach ball spins and when I click on the file I want it fades to grey.
I then have to Force Quit to get out. I have reinstalled the software, and zapped the P ram. Nothing works. I'm really frustrated. Can anyone help?

Sorry, haven't had that problem, but I don't use footnotes frequently. When I switched to OSX.3.9, most of my Appleworks problems resolved themselves. I am going to go to OS Tiger soon. Good luck.

I am writing a journal article using Aplle works. I am a having a continuing problem with gaps in the footnotes. These gaps cannot be deleted and seem to appear for no reason. Nobody seems to understand or know how to fix this problem. Your help would be much appreciated.
