>Yeah, I've used one with a plug and cord. It can be limiting if you like to, um, move much.
I shall treasure this image for the rest of my days....

So is a jackhammer, they have no cord, and run on low cost diesel fuel. Available at your nearby rent a center. Just remember to special request your surgically sterilized pick head, since tar and intimates don't mix.

Yeah, I've used one with a plug and cord. It can be limiting if you like to, um, move much.
They are more powerful though.

But then the cord gets tangled in your toesies as you writhe around in anticipation of perfect toast!

All of my appliances plug into the wall. Why bother with batteries? It's like trying to run a toaster on batteries. Would you stop at slightly warm toast?

Ben: Nice Douglas Adams quote, obscure, but nice. Though motors are not a low-draw app, some motors, used notably in mobile latex phallic sculpture expressedly state the need for "garbage batteries" in order not to burn out their low cost-low qual child labor made motors.

Wow. I am sooooo slow on the uptake. { retrospective ::blush:: } I present a quote (perhaps not exact but certainly close enough) which if given words are properly substituted may be of use for meditation: "There is an art, or rather a knack, to flying. One must simply throw themselves at the ground, and miss." Try it. It's fun. (No, not throwing yourselves at the ground. Sheesh.) Other thoughts... Ray-O-Vacs are designed specifically for low-draw applilcations (which a motor of any sort, usually isn't). Generally speaking, I find Duracells to be best for the money. (I am a music-phile, thanks.) Has it occurred to the widget-makers that a line of widgets with DC adapters and integral lithium-ion batteries would be the greatest thing? I wonder. The delicacy of designing such a thing is notable, but I happen to know a pretty good industrial designer. (Yep. That's how he makes his bread.)

How about a keychain that vomits? I'll bet your Polish friend, Jackson, never thought of that!

Jackson Pollock beat you to that one, Klaus. Keychains that beep... now there's some art.
