I'm sure that some of the awfulness has do with the fact that old colour photographs don't accurately record colors-- I have a old Gourmet french cookbook with some pretty ghastly looking colour plates. That said, the "Weight Watchers" recipes show a distinct lack of taste and culninary skill. I wish the actual recipes were shown.
