I had this Chimera/Mozilla crashing on start-up problem.
re-install OS 10.2.4 using the combi updater and run Cocktail (see versiontracker) it solved my problem.

Mozilla 1.3 can be expanded "behind" the dock.

Yes, but the next time I launch Safari, it "respects the dock" again.

Thank you for your answer. I didn't know about respecting the dock. I'll have to try other, non-browser applications. I guess IE is the strange one, and I'll stop looking for it.

But I still kind of like it, you can still see the page through the dock

Thanks again

Most apps "respect the dock" I don't think there is a setting for it. If you hide the dock, will it expand full screen?

This happened to me too. I would see the Camino splash screen and it would just stick there. This happened after a couple weeks of normal usage. So I tried OmniWeb, but it seemed sloooow after Safari. So now I'm back to Safari.

I've got a question for the people out there. IE windows fill up the full screen, so that the dock overlaps them on the bottom. But in the other browsers, I can only expand them down to where the dock starts. Is there any way to make Safari fill the full screen ?
