I have to apologize because I'm one of those people who reads journals and forgets that it's nice to say Hi and identify yourself. So...hi!
In a teeny little nutshell: have lived in Seattle for 7 years, I'm 31, hitched to a not-yet-famous rock star, work in theatre, volunteer at the zoo, am longing for the elusive winning lottery ticket so I can quit work and go to horticulture school....

How very exciting for you, Seattle is fabulous! Although I'm biased, because of course I live here. :) Let's see, places to go . . . 1) I think Madame K's would be right up your alley. And it's up the block from Hattie's Hat, so it's convienent for foot travel. It's a pizzeria that lives in a former brothel (from the 1800's), with a fabulous sexy atmosphere going on. And if it's your birthday they give you a crown to wear with a bitchin' feather boa, and a free chocolate chip orgasm which is as good as it sounds. 2) Sorry Charlie's is another favorite. It's a piano bar that has super cheap drinks, a killer piano player named Howard, and a never-ending supply of people willing to get up and sing. Great atmosphere: dark, smoky, bad paneling, oddly stained drop ceiling, a couple fancy old ladies sitting by the piano (sometimes nodding off by the end of the night). 3) There's always bowling at Sunset Lanes, another place for ultra cheap drinks, plus they have highly entertaining bad karaoke in the lounge, and lots of hot mama waitresses. 4) And if you like theatre I can hook you up with tickets to Seattle Repertory Theatre. :)
