As a Linux advocate in the El Paso ISD (TX) I naturally support the passage of TSB 1579 - I believe there are economic and safety issues that need to addressed by all involved, and perhaps follow the lead of countries like Peru that have mede very strong cases for Open Source software usage (http://linuxtoday.com/news_story.php3?ltsn...-06-012-26-OS-SM-LL)
The K12LTSP.org model for technology implementation also needs to be studied carefully. aahodson@episd.org
