Also from me, a wish for a happy fourth, I'm taking the kids to Tahoe for the fireworks and then this week-end I'm off for a week to my guitar retreat. Hope this finds everyone having as great a summer as I am.
Peace.

hi ! friends of march-may chat ! isn't it a good idea to take stock of developments till date, like "liberating" iraq, "search & destroy" mission for wmd etc ? we had an intellectually vigorous, though at times acrimonious chat ; the passage of the last 10 weeks or so should help a better perspective. what you say ? would be interesting to hear each chat-mate's views as of date on GB, TB, SH, DR, CP, JS, Robin Cook et al.

It is really too bad that Kevin and/ Nadine has not popped in to say hello. I am sure they are busy, but as we were all so supportive and reliant upon his coverage, it would be nice to know that they are well and safe, etc. Of course, as Marley said that he is no longer listed as a reporter for CNN, maybe CNN put the gag order on both to even write in to say hello. Who knows!!!! Anyway...
Jylian, hope you and the kids had a nice time in Tahoe!
Anyone read the Wall Street Journal article about the 9/11 investigation and how the White House is not being supportive???/ It was interesting, although not surprising.

Quote from Playwright Arthur Miller, in June 2003 Esquire:
"We have never, in my opinion, met up with this kind of an administration, which is extremely intelligent and has terrific control over the political life of the country. They are representing the rich people in a way that I didn't think was so blatantly possible. It's almost sociopathic. As though, OK, if you can make, you're one of us; if you can't make it, too bad, Jack. Some of the monkeys fall off the tree."
While I don't know that I agree with his comment that the administration is extremely intelligent--at least not the guy at the top--the rest of the quote is right on the money...sadly.
Anyway, that's just my social/political commentary for the week.

I quote my earlier message-3297:
" hi ! friends of march-may chat ! isn't it a good idea to take stock of developments till date, like "liberating" iraq, "search & destroy" mission for wmd etc ? we had an intellectually vigorous, though at times acrimonious chat ; the passage of the last 10 weeks or so should help a better perspective. what you say ? would be interesting to hear each chat-mate's views as of date on GB, TB, SH, DR, CP, JS, Robin Cook et al. "
Suddenly interest seems to have evaporated ! just like Administration's boredom with "developing" Afghanistan !
