How can Hillary Clinton's book be already on the Amazon top 9. Moreover, how can her "decision" to NOT run for president in 2008 make the headlines of all the national papers?

Where are the heads of the American people, with one million things to talk about, we still go fishing for interesting news.

I blame the overall culture that we've created towards news. Even in the world of 24 hour news channels, what do we get? The same news over and over every 20 mins. We interview people on television for a set amount of time, and just when the interviewER and the interviewEE are finally getting to the crux of their conflict and argument, oops... time to move on to Bob's weather, or... Now lets find out what happened in sports today. Somehow the greater issue of actually discussing WHY some person was given the airtime to speak their cause, we limit them to five preselected answers in a one minute, thirty second block.

What is important is getting answers... yet America remains satisfied when members of our government walk out on press conferences, and ban those who ask the tough questions from ever coming back to the white house/pentagon/wherever. We need to demand more of our elected officials, and we need to demand better of our newspeople. Ask the tough questions, and make sure you get your answers. For reference for how to do this, See Ralph Nader.

Or... let it all pass below your radar.
