This has existed for a while in Japan, my old phone allowed me to figure out my coordinates and then sent me a cellphone-viewable map of where I was. I couldn't read most of the Chinese characters on the map, so not all too useful...but there were bigass icons for all mcdonalds and starbucks locations ><. The annotation part seems to be new, that's cool. If this is truly "live" GPS, now that would be impressive. But my old phone required a long wait period to grab coordinates, and didn't always work on the first try.
