thanks all for reading this blog. i'm sorry that the heavy satellite congestion in this region keeps me from responding more quickly. but i'm a new convert to the ability of this medium in relaying information. a dialogue beats the hell out of a monologue any day.

On fingerprinting, it is unpleasant but not onerous. I recall being fingerprinted in Eastern Europe (Budapest, I think) back in the 1970s for no particular reason.
