I have a Sony SL-HF870D SuperBeta with the following problem:
1. When I press PLAY, there is one second of the recorded image, then the tape stops and tape transport won't work (including PLAY, RECORD, REWIND, FAST FORWARD).
2. When I eject and reinsert the videocassette, PLAY and FAST FORWARD do work.
Any suggestions on a solution to this problem?

I have a Sony SL-20 Betamax that will not accept a cassette anymore. The unit seems to think that a tape is already in it although the transport mechanism is up, that is, not in the down and play mode.
Any ideas?

I have a Sony sl-hf360 works fine except the capstan runs backward in all tape movement functions (Rew,FF,Play). Has anyone experienced this problem.
