Would you give it a rest? Fashion is the endeavour of the most trivial people imaginable. This stuff is less amusing than my "Will program for sex" T-shirt.

I got totally crucified when I mentioned that the once-fantastic BoingBoing of the recent past has been hijacked by the usual liberal crowd, just like EVERY other website that has half a chance. Well, here we go again! Every third or fourth item on BoingBoing!

Evidently, some people (many of the "newbie" contributors here) haven't outgrown the pre-teenage presumed shock effect of using the word "fuck" and "I fucked" so-and-so. It really IS science and technology based, isn't it? Like I said befreo, lesbians, endless anti-Bush rhetoric from and concerning every angle and opportunity, Robert Mapplethorpe inspired art, anti-Catholic and anti-Christian bashing. Yawn!

Evidently, ubitquity is never enough for these types, as it is everywhere from the time you wake up in the morning to everywhere you go. The sacred special value of BoingBoing is disappearing as fast as the virginity of these contributors on their tenth birthdays!

You know weblogs, like literature are a reflection upon the times in which we live. Bush, Hussein, Ashcroft, civil liberties these are the issues of the day, it's not something you can ignore, and yes they do make people extremely angry and anxious. Hey I don't even live in the US and the Patriot Act scares the shit out of me, so much so that I don't really want to visit the country anymore (which aside from you politicos is a nice place).

I think posts like this are a way of coping with the frustration of not being able to change much of the direction your country is headed for. And yes while Boing Boing might have started by being science and technology based I think It changed into a neo-humanist direction some time ago.

Um, I thought it was all of us who were getting fucked by Mr. Ashcroft; not vice versa.

I'm really getting tired of these f*cking t-shirts. Get it? Get it?

I don't care about the ideology, it's just not very interesting.

And I thought I had reason to kill myself before.

Here's some more tee-shirt ideas...

"I fucked Gawker.com"

"Offical Nude Ready.gov Parody Image Team XXL"

[Front] "I can find irony in death."
[Back]"...and I vote!"

[Note - please don't make these t-shirts, well, except for the gawker.com one.]

nixomatos, I think people's impatience with these jokes is they drift away from humor as a coping mechanism and embrace the attention seeking, look-at-my-funny-t-shirt mania.

Maybe it's me, but I always cringed at the "Osama Yo' Mama" t-shirts. "I fucked John Ashcroft" just happens to fall into the same bucket.

"hijacked by the usual liberal crowd"
Uh, yeah.
Here's what the web would look like without the "liberal crowd":

Have fun, asshole.

Idealogy, schmideology, left/right, who cares-

more to the point, I think, is that these t-shirts are just TIRED. Lame idea in the first place, even lamer to think they're cool/cuttingedge/worth reporting on... and then lame again to get bent out of shape about them.

wow, judging from some of these posts I think we need a new t-shirt:

"I fucked Ken Courtney's 15 minutes of fame."

I think "I fucked..." is now synonymous with "...ate my balls."

So a boing boing plugs gets one into better parties? I'm voting the 'f*cking' shirt business tired also, 5 posts about it might be 2 - 3 too many.

How about one that is really daring?

"I fucked George Bush (Senior)!"

Is there one for the ladies that says, "I fucked Jodie Foster"?

I prefer the gentler "I made love to John Ashcroft".

Let the mighty eagle soar.

unfortunately, the mission of the STARFUCKER tees is getting lost: the shirts are part of an installation i'm working on called THE NEW AMERICAN DREAM, based on the hypothesis that the latest incarnation of the American Dream is fame, celebrity, and effortless wealth. the shirts is commentary on the cultural phenomenon of starfucking and namedropping and the commodification of celebrity names and their use as currency in media and in certain (urban) circles.

the literal "I FUCKED..." as in had intercourse with isnt my intention when making the shirts at all.

oh and thanks for all the negative feedback. i'm sure you all have never produced anything of any value. (if so please put it up for MY critique) it seems that the critics are ALWAYS the least inventive, least interesting, least successful people. keep up the good work.
