Heh Rich Kid...
I'm confused. Are you implying "starfucking and namedropping" are somehow new? That they're some strange artifact of our times, that suddenly, now in 2003, girls (and guys) just can't get enough of them powerful, wealthy figures, unlike the good old days when people just fucked for love and babies?
Google for Rose Colored Glasses -- you're feeling lucky.
There's some interesting quirks of our times. Keep putting out cool t-shirts, you'll get closer to 'em :-)

"unfortunately, the mission of the STARFUCKER tees is getting lost: the shirts are part of an installation i'm working on called THE NEW AMERICAN DREAM, based on the hypothesis that the latest incarnation of the American Dream is fame, celebrity, and effortless wealth. the shirts is commentary on the cultural phenomenon of starfucking and namedropping and the commodification of celebrity names and their use as currency in media and in certain (urban) circles."
Wait--celebrity names are commodified? The American Dream is connected with fame and effortless wealth? Fame=currency?
The scales of darkness...they're dropping from my eyes.
I think the point is not that the original idea wasn't mildly amusing, but that five posts about the subject moves from something of interest to boring promotion.
