Hi satisfied,

Believe it or not, I too ran my machine through the required power cycle, a couple of times in fact, but it wasn't until the third cycle that my battery and charging cycle were working as they are supposed to after one cycle. Not a complaint, but rather an observation of how things worked for me. Since then, no problems at all!

Same satisfaction here. Mine has no trouble playing DVDs nor any warp. This is possibly the best Mac I have ever owned and I've had a few since the 128k in 1984. I run with the lid closed most of the time but even then heat does not seem to be a problem.

Well, I haven't experienced any heat problems, but then I followed the instructions when I received my PB12. I let it warm up to room temperature, charged it all the way up (it was pretty warm during this first charge), used it until it put itself to sleep, and then did another full charge and use-to-sleep. Since then it has been just fine running 10.2.4.

My trackpad button has been fine since the day I received my Little AlBook, so I can't offer too much insight into that particular problem. I haven't had any of the other common issues I keep reading about with these machines either. No slightly warped case - the machine doesn't wobble at all when I have it sitting on a flat surface - and I haven't had any problems with frames dropping when I play a DVD on my machine either...

Hi,
as I am considering buying the 12" PB, I am wondering about the heat issue. I've read somewhere that the problem was coming from a faulty management of the battery by osX v.10.2.4. I hope that an update will definitely fix this issue. What about the button of the trackpad? Some people report that it is "sticky", especially when you don't press it at the center...?
