With Ammeraal, Habasit, Siegling, your major distributor-fabricators and others still pushing these edge sealed belts, and the extruded belt products still growing in the food markets, I would venture to say sealed edge belts will be around for a while. Side sealing machines may be hard to cost justify, since most major manufacturers and the major master fabricators can do this as an added service to distributors. Don, the market size is basically wherever cleanability and contamination are an issue, so most USDA and AAA type plants are fair game - and there are a lot !

Its good to hear from you both! I hope the new job is going well Beltman2000! I agree with you, the capped edge belt is here to stay! The reinforced Volta Style solid belts, still need to have the sealed sides to keep moisture from wicking into the carcass. I think the new government reg's on clean ability will cause an up swing in interest. It may be that only the larger budget companies can afford such machinery, but the demand will continue to rise for these belts. Distributors need to shop around for the best price and turn around if they sell markets that demand this type of product. I think the demand for a good reliable, field installable, positive drive for these belts is the next big market we need to address....what do you think?

So far so good, Ted. I'm not quite sure on distributors doing this fabrication unless they are the big one s( B'Service, Apache, Sparky, etc.) By the way Don, if you read this, we are looking for an extruded v-guide notching machine. The only one's I've seen come from Spain, Italy, etc. Do you know where we could get one ?

Pornsawan, I would like to welcome you to our forum! The belt types you mentioned MVP3, and LF3 blue can be butt welded with a 36" Belt bonding System, such as a unit sold by me at C.M.Products Company. This unit can be set for various temperatures and for various thermoplastic belt types. For medium duty slitting applications, my Draw Knife Slitter will do very well . It is designed to manually slit belts and can be manufactured to your width needs. These items can be found at http://www.cbtools.com look under Flat Belt Tools for the Belt Bonder, and Slitting Tools for the Draw Knife Slitter. I will contact you soon via direct E-Mail with resale discounts . Thanks for your interest! Ted Anderson

I surelly do not need to know all the names of the belts to be the best there is in fabrication. To take somthing every day, (that not very many people would even think makes the world go round)and build a long piece of material and make millions of dollars a year for people is the most brilliant job market to be in.If we did not have a conveyor and belt to go onto the nachine what would the world be like? And Im looking in the light wieght area because Im pretty small!

Subject: belt bonder joining system.
We had read your bonding instructions mention that there are 3 method of welding which are finger splice overlap splice and andro-splice. We wonder that bonder joining system can weld all 3 method. And what the best for all 3 method.
Looking forward to hear from you soon.
