there was a fairly lame short on ifc (or sundance) on this very topic. megacorporations were advertising their products through tattoos on the foreheads of the homeless in exchange for food and money. i switched it when they introduced some new, nefarious technology into the mix, but the fact that any company is really doing this is pretty unsettling. i imagine the backlash against the brands would be greater than the rewards.

Something a lot like this was the topic of an NPR spoof about ten years back . . . one of their April Fool items. A company called LaserFlash was offering teens a chance to have corporate logos zapped onto their earlobes. The wearer would get a discount on the product in question.

Very nicely done. They had me believing until they interviewed LaserFlash's president, Lirpa Loof.

For over two years, Sprint B2B's been running print and tv using one-word messages printed on people's foreheads.

About twenty years ago, some early video entrepreneur had a cable show in New York. It was a kind of smutty porn show that Howard Stern probably used for inspiration.

There was a vidcap running around for a long time of a woman with very large, bare breasts with the words, "Space for Rent" on them.

Sandwich board indeed.
