TODAY'S THE DAY! Time to clean out those closets and "outta sight outta mind" areas and bring it all down to Town Hall for the Rummage Sale!
We will accept items IN GOOD CONDITION from 3 to 8 p.m. today and tomorrow. We greatly appreciate the respect that everyone has shown in NOT leaving items when no one is there to receive them! Please see previous posts and flyers around town outlining the items we cannot accept.
VOLUNTEERS ARE STILL NEEDED!!! Please sign up at the Merc or in the school lobby or call the number below. This commUNITY event is a HOOT & A HALF as we witness that every item has a story, some items show up year after year, and rummagers express true joy when finding treasures at incredible bargains! We especially need helpers to haul the leftover items to area thrift stores or charity as the Town Hall must be empty and clean by this Tuesday!!!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT and we're looking forward to the annual stuff-trade among area Jimtowners, as well as tasty baked goodies!

VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP SHEETS ARE NOW POSTED for the Spring Rummage & Bake Sale on May 8th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in JimTown Hall!
Please sign up at the Merc, the Jamestown School lobby, or by calling Laura @ (3o3) 545-55o2 to volunteer for a shift at this unique commUNITY FUNdraiser!
Bakers need not sign up to donate goodies -- just bring 'em to the event or call for pickup arrangements!
Rummage Sale shifts begin two days before the event when we start accepting and organizing items -- that is, Thursday, May 6th and Friday, May 7th from 3-8 p.m. -- and continue throughout the day of the event, May 8th and afterwards as we need help bringing leftover items to charity or area thrift stores.
ALL PROCEEDS benefit after-school programs for next year in Jamestown and Gold Hill schools.

BAKE SALE: Donations of individually-wrapped items and/or whole cakes/pies will be gratefully accepted at the event or by calling the number below for pickup arrangements. commUNITY BAKERS UNITE as everyone enjoys your tasties!!! Gluten-Free and vegan goodies would be greatly appreciated!
RUMMAGE SALE: Donations of items in GOOD CONDITION will be gratefully accepted on Thursday, May 6th and Friday, May 7th from 3 to 8 p.m. in Town Hall (or call for an appointment if you can't make these times). PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE ITEMS IF NO ONE IS THERE TO RECEIVE THEM! We reserve the right to refuse any item and can NOT accept large appliances, large furniture, tires, mattresses, vehicles, hazardous waste, trash, recycling, or anything that costs money to dispose of. Computers and electronics will be returned to you if they do not sell. A bulletin board will be available for you to post any items we can't accept and leftover items will be donated to charity or area thrift stores.

HIDING @ 11 a.m. (kids over age 12)
FINDING @ Noon (kids of ALL ages!)
According to ancient Jimtownian tradition, each family brings a dozen decorated eggs or other trinkets to help hide while Camp Jimtown contributes many items and offers prizes to the finders of 3 golden eggs! This event is not religion-specific and will occur in any type of weather. Everyone is welcome!
SPECIAL REQUEST: Donations of items that are appropriate for ages 0-3 (non-chokable) for a separate finding area.

The K-1-2 students are going to use the money to learn about money before we send it off. They will be learning about money for a real purpose, which is the best way!!! Thank you for all of your wonderful help and caring. I have the best job in the whole wide world! Edited 03-01-2010 10:53 AM

"Loose $Change$ for Haiti:...Jamestown Elementary students want to help Haiti relief efforts, so we set up a large donation jar in our school lobby for loose change that kind folks may have in their pockets, or jars at home. Pennies, nickels, quarters and dimes go a long way in countries like Haiti. So, stop by anytime while the school's open and join our Loose $Change$ for Haiti drive! We're going to see if we can put jars in the P.O. and the Merc too. Thank you. from Ines and Gay, teachers of your local Jamestown School : )
