Along with the Birthday Calendar, Camp Jim would like to make a recipe book! I’ve only gotten a few recipes, and will have to resort to kids choosing from cookbooks if no one else pipes up. That would be OK, but we’d rather have some good soul food in our Camp Jim recipe Collaboration. So send in your recipes, by email to sara.milligan@colorado.edu.
Thank You, Sara Milligan Program Director Camp Jim, (720) 561-6023

Many of you have probably heard of the tremendous loss we experienced yesterday.

RIP Sally Rose Williams - Born on Valentine's Day 1999, Died on Halloween 2009 (what a party dog!)

Sally Rose will be laid to rest today at noon up at Rob Koehler's land on Balarat Road. If anyone would like to attend, give me a call at (3o3) 545-55o2 and I will give directions. Our deepest thanks to Buddy and Rob and ALL of the friends who will be helping with this hard, incredibly sad task.

Sally was SO LOVED BY SO MANY in this commUNITY that her KID friends have asked if we will have a funeral for her. Many of these kids grew up with Sally and I respect their need for closure, so we will have a memorial service in Jamestown's Little Park soon for everyone who ever loved and lost their dear, dear pets. All of Sally's doggie friends will be welcome too. More info to follow...

In the meantime, we deeply appreciate EVERY SINGLE KIND WORD, PICTURE, HUG, PHONE CALL, LOVING THOUGHT, AND BIT OF SUPPORT that we have received from all of you.

CALLING ALL TALENTS!!!

Please come and share your talents and interests with the kids of Camp Jimtown and Jamestown School! We are now offering specialized workshops and need our gifted commUNITY members to participate!

Every week, we offer DRAMA CLUB on Tuesdays, ART CLUB on Wednesdays, and FITNESS CLUB on Thursdays, usually from 3:30-5 p.m. If you or anyone you know can come in and lead the children in any of these areas, please contact Laura @ (3o3) 545-55o2. Let us know if you can volunteer your time and expertise or what you would charge for your services, as well as how many sessions your workshop might be, what supplies are needed, etc.

Even if your talent doesn't necessarily apply to these categories, we welcome ANY new areas of learning and we can certainly adapt our schedule accordingly!

Crafters & Artists are especially needed to help us to create items to sell at the upcoming JAM Craft Fair in December. Our many commUNITY musicians, knitters, crocheters, bakers, cooks, storytellers, etc. are always welcome!

In spite of the rain, hail, and cold, and in true commUNITY fashion, our BAKE SALE raised a whoppin' $339.12 toward a SCHOLARSHIP FUND for families who need after-school childcare, were denied by CCCAP, and can't afford it on their own!!

THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU ALL WHO BAKED, BOUGHT, AND DONATED!!!

Special thanks to our beloved commUNITY BAKERS: Catherine Davis, Lulu, Karen A., Sally Hempy, and Beth Brotherton!

Extra special thanks to our precious Camp Jim FAMILY BAKERS: From Jamestown, the Bennink, Bartsch, Andaloro, and Graves families and from Gold Hill, the Kidder-Roberts, Steinmann, Lansky, and Inskeep-Davis families!

We are still accepting donations for this scholarship fund as all future FUNdraisers must go toward Camp Jim's rising program expenses. Please contact Laura @ (3o3) 545-55o2 or send your donation to:
