Tai Chi with Vic Harris
Saturday, September 12th 1-3pm
in the Town Park
Sign up in the Jamestown P.O.
$10 for pre-registration/$12 day of workshop.($$ collected at
workshop)
In this two hour workshop we will explore and learn some very
basic Tai Chi movements with a focus on increasing flexibility
and balance. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for
easy movement and smooth/flat soled shoes (no heels).
Tai Chi is an Chinese form of exercise, martial art, moving
meditation that has literally millions of practitioners
worldwide. More recently research studies have indicated that
Tai Chi is effective in reducing hip fractures in the elderly by
enhancing balance.
Vic Harris has been studying and teaching Tai Chi since 1974.

Hi,
Free wood! We have old 12' oak planks from our recent bridge repair. We don't know if this is treated lumber or not. We saved some of the "good" planks for yard borders and seem to have reached our limit. Maybe someone else has a need? We would like to have it moved asap, so first come first served. Hard to estimate how much, but at least a truck load or two.

Go West young man . I'm heading to the area in a few weeks from marietta ga. I'm looking for a place to rent for a few months. Could be a house, a room, a tent space, barn, shed etc. I am 57 years young and have a corgi as my pal. I have been building in ATL for some years now, also have a masters in studio arts (ceramic sculpture, and pottery) . I am going to be visiting my daughter (student at CU ) and keeping an eye out for a good situation or place to which I can relocate. Fallen in love with your area. Does anyone have any experience commuting in a Volkswagen (I'm looking at the Jetta TDI) through this canyon in the winter? They have five or six named anti-slip technologies, but no all-wheel-drive.
If I can't get better gas mileage in a new car than in my old Subaru, I'll put the money into her instead.

Chris, stud the tires up and you'll enjoy the drive...Had several VW's and all were great when it was slick, preferred them over the landcruiser unless it got real deep.
