Who thought that they could take it upon themselves to dismantle the play structure in the lower park and leave it a skeleton with rusty nails and pipes sticking out of it for kids to hurt themselves on? Nevermind the fact that its now a huge hazard, but how about asking people who actually grew up playing on it if they had an opinion on the subject before ripping it to pieces?

If you've ever been to party here, we've probably sent you home with leftovers in my snapware plastic containers. Please bring 'em by or drop them at The Merc. I'm putting out a recall on 'em because I am now officially in business as The Wholesome Gourmet and I need as many of those containers back, please.

The Wholesome Gourmet is a home delivery service of organic, highly customized, delicious, healthy complete meals ready for you to "Heat, Eat, & Enjoy". Our website is in its final stage of development, but I am comfortable enough to share it with all of you, http://www.thewholesomegourmet.com . Please send me any feedback (my email is on the website).

I am delighted to extend the 50% off Special Offer (found on the Service & Pricing page) to your first four orders for Jimtowners, Bar-K-ers, and Sky Ranchers and, of course, the delivery fee is waived. In addition, I'm working on a discounted long term plan for all my neighbors -- stay tuned for details!

Please contact me with any questions. I sure hope I can be of service to you and your family!

I would like to extend a special THANKYOU on behalf of Jamestown Fire to AnnaMaria for providing us with an exceptional breakfast after our pack test on Sat. morning (Wildland Firefighter Requirement). I believe she may have put as much work in as we did. ThankYou very much!

The Recalcitrant Aerators

Great new band...

actually, Charlie and I have failed to make time/arrangements to aerate our lawn so far this spring. Does anyone have a date with a professional we could hitch onto, or a power gizmo to lend, or knowledge of when is too late to do this?

Thanks

Our cat is missing. If anyone has seen him or maybe even took him in for safe keeping, could you please call me? 970.300.4811
He is about 18lbs with long black hair.
He looks almost exactly like Rutiger's (spelling?) cat, Buffalo.
He went missing Thursday night up on Mesa.
Thanks-

Sal, I had my little arrow next to the "Messages" upside down. Jerry helped me figure it out, bless his heart.

And not to keep spamming the Jamestown board, but we also wanted to let you know that a mostly-local band is playing at the Merc THIS SATURDAY NIGHT...MASON'S CHILDREN, featuring Paul & Chris from Phix along with most of the members of The Higher Good, will be playing the music of the Grateful Dead. We're glad to have a chance to bring this band up to Jamestown for the first time, as we think everyone will really enjoy it. We hope to get the music started by 7:30 in order to get in as much music as possible.

To check out the band, visit their myspace page:

Have a great day

MS WALK TOMORROW, SAT. 5/10

Just wanted to let everybody know that the National MS Society is holding a walk tomorrow morning at Folsom Field in Boulder. As most of us know, MS is close to home, affecting friends and neighbors right here in Jamestown. For registration information etc., call 303.698.7470 x2, or visit this link:

http://main.nationalmssociety.org/site/TR/...pg=entry&fr_id=8856

Jimtowners Trevor Clendenin (from the Higher Good) and Paul Murin (from Phix) will be playing a couple sets of early morning acoustic music, along with Brian Adams (also from Phix) on bass and Patrick Latella (from The Ethereal Plane) on guitar.

It would be great to see some locals out to support this cause!

'The Higher Good' has been offered the opening slot at the FOX Theater on WED MAY 21 for Donna Jean Godcheaux & the Tricksters. Donna was in the Grateful Dead, and she has been touring actively with the Tricksters for the last couple of years. We'll go on at about 8:30, so you can still be home early on a school night. Thanks for all of your support - this is how we pay it back!

Sal-
You've always had an invite to come down and visit- and now that you've heard our young talent...I said it before and I'll say it again, living here on ST. Croix is like being in Jamestown ( community wise) but on an island. Come on down....ps. please, for those of you loving poetry-check out www.npr.org click on Poetry Out Loud and get some shivers-this young high school student recited this from memory and did it and her islands proud!
