Have we become so stupid and careless ?
No wonder our politicians take us for a ride.
I mean what kind of world this place is becoming.
You cannot walk freely in the US after 9/11.
Europeans don't want any more outsiders.
The africans are sliting each others throats.
The arabs are bombing Isreal.
The Indians cannot go on honeymoon in Kashmir.
The Chinese have hounded out the Tibetans.
The koreans have millions on the border ready to fight.
The Japanese are killing the whales all the time.
The australians are being bombed in indonesia.
The irish are still not stopped fighting.
Everywhere there is violence and violence.
But who is suffering ? Is we stupid. We the people.
Not the politicians and business men.
For them money takes care of most of these problems.
Have you ever seen rich people being killed ?
So ain't we stupid and careless by doing nothing about this.
When will we rise up and take action ? Are our childrens safe today ?
Its time for us to be smart and aware and not vote for people who even ignore violence leave aside support it.
Don't you think if Al Gore was the president, there would be more intelligent solutions to the present situation in Iraq.

The only way to stop Terror is by non-violence as preached by Gandhi and others of his ilk.
Its a tragedy for this world that people such as Gandhi no longer exist or their voices blanked out.
My previous message was Can Bush Stop this ?
If for example, a lady carrying a perfume bottle in her bag is a terrorist. In the perfume bottle is not perfume but a biological weapon which can be sprayed.
This lady flies and arrives at airports, sprays her stuff on herself and thus spread the same around. Before she did this she has been vaccinated. The vaccine is availble only to her.
How can Bush stop this lady ? Any many such acts of terror so invisible. New ideas of terror will come up. Can he defeat all of them. How many innocents will die before Mr.Bush succeeds.
Who is suffering here ? Its not Bush. Because the american taxpayers haved promised to secure him from terrorists.
He can zip around the world in his private plane, yatch or ranch. Can we do the same in a world full of terror.
So what is this world after all where people have to fear and live and then watch people die on TV with a popcorn bowl on our laps.
Terror cannot be defeated by Terror. Who can stop this lady from carrying out her terror attack. Surely Mr. Bush cannot order all ladies to stop using perfume. Can he ?
Its people like you and me who want to live a free and peaceful life. Lets not impose our values on others. If the iraqies are fed up they could have ended saddams rule themselves in 12 years.
Anyway Saddam is not immortal and there could have been so many other ways of destroying him. But then if our vision is limited and intelligence brawny who can help.
Lets come together and say no to violence. Not just in iraq but within ourselves. Gandhi taught us to vanquish the enemy within before the one outside. Every person has a dark side. As long as this exist, we cannot have a perfect world.
And no amount of missiles or threats can vanquish such an enemy.
Politicians all over the world divert people attention to further their own interests. And we fall prey.
Are we so stupid ?

1. American and British do not like shit. Each of your cities produces enough shit and you can use this as a weapon. Use your water cannons and other material throwers to fill shit stock and throw them at the advancing troops armour.
The stench will not allow them to come out and as water is scarce, they will not be able to clean them regularly.
Your enemies will get dis-oriented and retreat.
2. Send thousands of unarmed civilians in army fatigues towards the advancing enemies. They will have no option to take them as POW. These civilians will eat and drink the precious rations of the soldiers and who will suffer as a result resulting in their not able to advance.
Also send sick and old people so that they will have to use their medical resources in helping these people instead.
3. Think of everything which the enemies do not like personnaly and use this as a non-violent weapon.

you guys know that you wont be able to stop war, it will always be there. To haunt us in our dreams, to give us fear, and those iraq's are one of the ones trying to enforce that concept.Like plato said " only the dead have seen the end of war".

I was just wonderin'. They say that this war on Iraq could cost upwards of half a trillion tax dollars. Knowing how government estimates run, we're talking a trillion if a dollar.. right? Well, I wonder what would happen if we, instead, threw a trillion bucks at forming whatever it takes, think tanks, research, or...??? (there has to be something better) in order to find (or at least explore) new and better ways of settling these things rather than blowing fellow creatures to smithereens. Just wonderin'. If you're wondering too... feel free to pass this on to as many people you like (get a little email dialogue going on it)or we can just let the same ol' people tax us and spend our money on these tantrums, generation after generation, throwing babies out with bathwater. Let's evolve already! CR

Good point, one that Nader, understandably, avoids. But winning county assessor or whatever is a long way from getting elected gov or sen or even mayor of a large city. The two-parties will give up the short passes - but not the deep ones. Greens with ambition are better off joining Dems or Reps if they want a juicy seat in their lifetimes. imCYNo.

I disagree chico, Nader and the other third-party candidates would have more cred if they actually had some experience at governance. Win a few local races (which has already been done by libertarians, socialists, greens, and independants...even the natural law party) and then, here is the hard one, prove that you can work with other the rest of the governmental apparatus that does not necessarily share your axioms regarding how the world should work. Develop a track record at this and perhaps the rest of the world will take you seriously.

I think a broader "equal-time" requirement of media would be good, at least for house races...I've felt for a while that a new party was going to rise up as the dominant one in the US for a while, and leave the 2 current ones to fight over the pickings/eventually re-fuse again.
I'm very dearly hoping for that, and not an eventual Tyrant.
