I have tickets available for the 6th Annual Sun Singer Gala Wine Tasting on Thursday, October 22nd from 5-8 pm. The tickets are $20. There will be over 250 wines available to sample. This event will be the first one held at the NEWLY RESTORED 1914 Orpheum Theater in downtown Champaign. The Orpheum is on the National Register of Historic Buildings and is the home of the Orpheum Children's Science Museum. All ticket proceeds will benefit the museum. WCIA's Dave Benton will be master of ceremonies - come join us for an enchanted evening as we toast the newly restored Orpheum theater space. You will be truly amazing at the transformation of this space!

Or, if you are looking for a housemate, that would be excellent, too. I do have a small (awesome and well-behaved, ed.), fluffy, nonshedding, nonbarking dog who would be coming with!

Looking for something to do next weekend? CUTC presents Jekyll & Hyde (a musical) October 22-25 (7:30 pm Oct. 22-24; 2:30 pm Oct. 25). An epic tale between good and evil. All shows are at the historic Virginia Theatre, 203 W. Park Ave., Champaign.

St. Thomas More High School presents a classic American comedy, “Arsenic and Old Lace” by Joseph Kesselring. Show dates are Thursday, Oct. 22; Friday, Oct. 23; and, Sat. Oct. 24. Doors open at 6:30pm and the show starts promptly at 7pm. Tickets are available at the door and are priced: $7 for adults and $5 for Seniors and students.
