Does anyone know a good, reliable, reasonably priced, AC repair or replacement business or person??? My AC has broken down twice in the last month. Freon was put in 3 or so weeks ago and now it is acting the same way again. Runs, but won't cool. Thermostat says 78 and it is set on 65, but just keeps getting warmer in the house.

Open Heart Prison Ministries is collecting gently used purses, wallets, totes or briefcases for their annual fundraiser. I have a friend that is on their board, so I am willing to collect and take to her when I see her this Thursday, June 25 (have to have in my office by 11 a.m.).

If that does not work well for you, the collection sites are:

Stephanie, you are absolutely right. I had to buy a new network adapter (different brand), and everything is fine now.

My husband had this to say:
It's the computer's driver for the wireless network adapter (the small piece of software that runs the network adapter so it can talk to the computer). It is either corrupted, out of date, incompatible with the new router or a feature of the new router, or is conflicting with something else. He'll need to try to download the newest driver from the manufacturer's website-- which may be tricky if he can't connect the computer to the network. He may need to use a different computer with a CD-R or floppy drive or a USB key to move the files over and install them.

Usually the manufacturer's website is a good spot to troubleshoot this kind of problem.

I'm hoping some computer gurus read this board...

My wireless router crashed and I got a new one. One of my desktops crashes every time I try to connect to the wireless network. (This has happened with at least two different routers, so the problem has to be in the computer and not the router).

Here is the screen I get when the crash occurs:

I am then told I can reset the computer to an earlier time. I do so, and then I get this screen:
