Actually, printing titles like that(or something like that), was started around the Spanish-American War, when Yellow Journalism started. Because of the World, and another newspapers overdramaitzation of the USS Maine incident, it gave the government the fuel to start the war with Spain they wanted, so that sugar companies could invest more in Cuba.
