Im scheduled to take the 931 test on june 3, 08...does anybody have any good advice for me that has taken the test?? also does the books that claim to help study for the exam helpful??? thanks..

I'm new to all of this. I'm going Monday 5/12/08 for the 931-G.M. test
I didn't get time to think about going. I didn't think that I was going to go and take the test. If I don't do good, do I get to take it a 2nd time?

How long do i need to wait before i can transfer? started off the street as an et 30 days ago.

Its been about 2 and 1/2 months sent I submitted my Application. Still have not heard anything regarding the review board, I know it can be a slow process, I just wondered if anyone had a similar experience when going from the application to the review board? I've been trying to get in touch with the lady from HR, but have been unsuccessful so far.

Also, is there anyone who works in OKC that can tell me if they actually need Electronics technicians in OKC right now? Thanks

Im looking to transfer upstate ny, binghamton,owego,ithaca surrounding areas. Anyone know if there are any positions custodian or mechanic ,open in any of these areas?thanks Ive put in a request on reassign already, just trying to get some inside info

I would go to HR for the district you tested in and keep following up on it. Even go in person!!!!!!!

/m800 yo AZ, you should have heard something by now. Even if you were (ineleigible) less than 70% you should have recieved your exam rating.
Me and most of my co-workers recived exam rating withen 4 weeks. I have been through 5 USPS exams and always recived my rating within 4 weeks. Even when i was deemed inelegible, I always receieved a reply. The only advice i can give you is to use your parents address and sign up for the test again. If you were scheduled for a MPE exam you should have been scheduled for the general maint exam.
Don't hold your breath for a USPS maintenance job.
I had to wait for 1 year after i passed MPE exam
Co workers have waited up to five years after passing MPE exam

Can anyone shed some light on an issue i'm having?

I took the MPE exam on 2/8/08 and have yet to get my results back. What worries me is that I often have trouble with getting my mail delivered to my address for some reason, even though i'm not in some rural area(east of phoenix).. I initially put in for the general maintenance, MPE and ET exams and only got the test info packet for the MPE.

I've called the Phoenix branch of the APWU and was referred to the actual testing location for info. 602-223-3623 Problem is, I can't seem to get a live person to talk to and there's no answering machine.

All I want to do is see if I can change the address they have to my parents location as i've never had issues with getting my mail over there.

m782 dont come here to act all smartass and immediately qualify me as a dumb guy who doesnt know crap. I have the knowledge and experience to take the mpe exam even the ET exam if i wanted. i just want to make it safe and take the exam and work my way up. is it bad to ask questions regarding doubts??? NO. If you cant answer without being rude and insulting people just dont answer anything at all. Its a shame that you are around when beside you the only thing ive got from people around here is kindness and lots of help.

I don't get any OT here in NC. Thankfully, the cost of living is so affordable here I don't need it.(Raleigh area)

I am an MPE at a BMC and just took a promotion at a P&DC to work Tour 2 as an ET. For me to get that shift and position at my BMC would take probably 10-15 years.
So what your basically saying is that I will be a VT/"Vacuum Tech"
That sounds kind of lame :(
