Hey Kika and Danielle,
As you should have seen from Blanca's email there is another collaboration going on within HHH 2004 TEAM that is somewhat similar to ours. I think it would be great to perhaps combine these collaborations. It would give us more ideas, more support and more people to help achieve our ultimate goal. I am waiting for Blanca to email me with the email address of those other members, but before I email any of them I just wanted to get your feelings about it. I don't want to do anything that will interfere with the dynamics of our group. I really believe that the three of us work well together and I don't want to make any decissions for the group without consulting you both. Let me know how your both feel about this. I sent this message out to both of you via email as well, in case you don't check this board as regularly as your email.

P.S. Kika, I know you have alot going on with work, family etc. but as this collaboration gets on its way, we'll need to stay more connected. I know you are doing your share, but we need to stay updated with the progress you are making. Not to mention part of our grade for the semester is based on our participation in these QuickTopic discussions. I hope you take this as constructive critisism and that you aren't upset about my saying this. I'm just trying to help make our collaboration a true reflection of our hard work, in which you are very much a part of.

Hi everybody, I know I have not been on line at all this week, this was one week that if can erase it, I will. Well about the collaboration. They say that Argentina is broke, that there is no money, but I do not know were everybody is, I talked to my brother that has one child in the school I want to make the contact with, and he thinks it can be done, but I have to wait until this coming week to talk to the principal because she is on vacations. I knew that this was going to happend, but there is nothing I can do. I am hopping to come from school early enough on tuesday to call the school directly. My sister is on vacation too. My brother is going to try to get the phone number of the principal so I can call her at night. Angie do not worry I know that I should had talk to you some time during the week. Sorry. I will see you tomorrow. It is going to happend but many things are happening at the same time that need my attention. sorry

Hola , I went to the quick topics and after I read all the emails, you description is excellent, as usual you say everthing so well. I am going to show all this to my chair tomorrow, she thinks is a great idea, and she hopes I can bring some students to do this wiht me may 20. This will help me explain to her what are we doing.
About the other TEAM that is doing a similar collaboration, may be we should try to get together some time when they meet. We can ask when they have class and I will change my schedule to meet them. I will volunter just because I live the closet to the school, well I do not know if Danielle
 has to travel a lot. Well let see tomorrow.
Buenas noches, Today I started grading at 6 am and I still did not finish the reading for tomorrow. I can say that I play a little bit with dreamweaver, but nothing with viedo vega.

I sent Sophie (from the HHH 2004 team) an email about the possibility of combining the two collaborations, so far I haven't heard anything. I will forward her response to both of you when I receive it. I'm getting very excited about the reality of our collaboration, I hope you both are as well. Stay in touch.

Hola Here I am with great news, this is going to be short, Diego is crying, well I just finish talking to my sister, she is totally in it, the idea of peace for her is great, she is now reading folk short stories about Madela and she was thinking of using him and the stories in some art projects. SHe gave me the phone number of the Tec teacher at the school, she will be talking to him tomorrow I will call him at night. THis is great news, she wants the crayones, that is something else.. for me this are great news. Does any one know which team is Leing ( did I spell the name correctly) so he can send me the power point presentation and may be the pictures of his quilt... I am very happy and looking foward to all of this. I talked to may sister in law, my nice is at the school and my nephews go to another school and other names came up to do this too, let see.

Kika, that is great news. You spelled Lenny's name wrong...it is Lenny and I believe he is on the NSA team. I have his email address if that helps you, and it is Jeebuss@optonline.net

I was also giving alot of thought about Lenny's quilt idea, and I was thinking about maybe talking to Lenny about taking his idea globably. Maybe we have each of the schools which get involved with our collaboration add to the quilt. They would add patches to it and display it for a period of time and then send it to another school in another country who is participating and so on and so on. I don't know if I've explained this part of my idea too well, but I will discuss it more with both of you when we meet again.

Keep posting good news...its the best to log onto this QuickTopic and find a response with some promising news. It makes this collaboration seem one step closer to reality.

I have not yet heard from Sophie, but I will keep you both posted.

PS: I forgot to tell you:My sister told me that Maria Luisa, the principal of her school is planning to come to USA in May, Los Angeles, well maybe with all of this we can change her plans!!!!!

Hola, Angie and Danielle I just hang up with Ivan Bours the computer/Tec at my sister's school, he needs all the information, he thinks is great, he even said that if necessary he will get a satelitt to make the connection, I told him that we are looking to just use a web camera!!! He thinks is a great idea. I need Lenney to send me the email with the power point he showed us to explain the quilt part, do you think we should send the action plan this weekend or wait until monday, this is now a better day!!

Your progress is great. Things seem to be moving along really well. I don't know if you were referring to sending our action plan to Michele and Jim or if you were referring to your contact Ivan Bours. I definitely would not send it to Ivan Bours, and I don't feel the action plan that I forwarded to you and Danielle is ready for Michele and Jim either.

Did you both have a chance to look over what I wrote on the action plan and make some changes?

Yes I did but I need to look it with time, Ivan Bours needs something to present to the school of what we want to do. Really is not the action plan but maybe the description of the collaboration ??? I have no answers from Lenny. good night

Hi guys! It's been a quick and crazy week! Wow! We have so many great ideas flowing!! I haven't seen the action plan yet, is it in an e-mail? I will check that next! I can't believe how much progress we are making! I am still working on getting permission for my kids to come on May 20th, but I really think my district would love to be involved in the connection with other countries. My chairperson thought of something like..."adopt-a-class" or something...who knows where this can go!! Maybe Kika should show the collaboration description that Angie wrote to Ivan...It was very well written and really explained our goals...I will check my e-mail now and get back to you guys! talk to you later!

Hi Guys,
I was just reading through some of the workshops and saw the upcoming workshop An Examination of Distant Learning on Mar. 15th. The description of the workshop sounds interesting, it doesn't specifically discuss what we are doing within our collaboration, however, our collaboration seems to fit right into the concepts in the workshop. I am going to try to attend that, I haven't registered yet because I'm not sure I can go, but I'm working on it. It might be good if at least one of us does go...see if there is any pertinent information to us, and it would be better if more than one of us attended. Anyway...see what you guys think, and in the meantime I'll let you know if I'll be able to attend.

Hi! I just checked out that conference you were talking about Angie, and it looks great...unfortunately it's on a Sat. morning, and this spring i am coaching softball-which means saturday morning practices...however, i did register for a conference on April 23...on video conferencing...it sounds interesting and seems to fit with our collaboration...maybe some of us can go to that one also....

I finally got to my e-mail, and I just read the action plan. I think it's a great. I wouldn't change anything.
