My friend Brooke was PRing in Seattle for the Circus, and an oriental woman asked to look at the tape she was using. She explained that she was visiting from China, and had never seen duct tape in her life. She had an interpreter with her, and Brooke was able to explain the amazing material's infinite applications, styles and colors. Isn't American overconsumption a wonderful thing?

According to one of my friends in the "heartland of America" duct tape was almost impossible to find in the stores after they said you should be prepared to secure a biological weapon-safe interior room with plastic sheeting and duct tape. Silly, silly American sheeple.
