HARALD BLÅTAND was my 22nd great grandfather. son of GORM DEN GAMLE & Tyra DANABOT. He was the King of Denmark and Norway around 940 ad. His daughter Tyra married Styrbjorn Starke (son of Olaf, King of Sweden ) these were my 21st great grandparents. Harald (Blåtand) Bluetooth was killed around 986 A.D. in battle against his son, Svend Forkbeard. His remains were buried in the cathedral at Roeskilde, where his bones are still preserved, walled up in one of the pillars of the choir.
Contrary to popular opinion, Bluetooth or "Blåtand" as it was in old Viking language had nothing to do with a blue tooth.
It means dark complexion he had very dark hair, which was unusual for Vikings.

Actually, old king Harald (ca 935-987) was king of Denmark , which at the time more or less included what's Norway today. But not today's Sweden (or very much of it, anyway)
