There is PLENTY of blood on our streets. Hell, our kids are killing EACH OTHER!!! Seen Bowling For Columbine? Any doubts that Americans are filled with fear and bloodlust? Ever driven through Caprini Green? Ever lived near a crackhouse? Ever have fellow students in your school killed over drugs? Yeah, we are SO much more civilized...

Actually, jleader, I'm much more disturbed by Muslims putting Junior Jihadist(tm)-brand toy bomb belts on their real, live children, and by lining the streets with glorious color portraits of the "martyrs" who have blown themselves up on buses taking real live children with them, and so forth. You can compare our violent culture to their violent culture all you want, but I'll take toy soldiers in easter baskets over real blood in the streets, thanks.

PapayaSF, which would disturb you more: Muslims buying gifts for Ramadan, or Muslims putting up buying gifts for Ramadan that contain little Junior Jihadist (tm) playsets? Now try reversing the situation, how do you think someone who's been told repeatedly that theirs is a "religion of hate and violence" would view Easter celebrations that involved toy soldiers?
Incidentally, shouldn't the soldiers have spears, to fit better with the Easter theme? And dice?

This cracked me up:
"He...questions the message sent to Muslims by the melding of a Christian holiday with images of war."
Yeah, I'm sure Muslims will have no trouble with a Christian holiday, as long as no toy soldiers are involved!
