Discovered your blog from blogger. As a journalist in India, it's interesting to read a behind the scenes to the gritty images one does get to see. I don't know how tough/easy it is to be there waiting anxiously for a war to happen/ or end -- whichever way you look at it. But lots of luck and you last para in this post was absolutely touching. Especially the bit abt screensavers being of family, friends et al! http://nidhit.blogspot.com

I find it amazing that I am actually sitting here, in my chair in Portland, Oregon, reading about your current existence amongst troops and media, on the verge of war. Thank you for the blog. I will continue to stop by and update from a true source. http://convivial.blogspot.com
