hi, just watched some dumb-assed lawyer representing the canadian music industry on cbc's newsworld. they are appearing in front of the supreme court tomorrow, asking for i.s.p.'s to provide the names of people sharing music files. blah, blah, blah!!!! this is not so much the recording artists not recieving royalties, as i think who needs record companies anymore? why would i, as an artist, not want to put my new c.d. on my own web-site for download, say for $8.00, and keep all the cash, rather than have my record label give me $2.00, and sell my c.d. for $15.00 or $18.00? who is really loosing here? if the record companies had given their customers what they wanted, they wouldn't be hurting now. they should not be hiding behind the "poor starving artist". who gives a shit if brittany has to fly in a gulfstream 3 instead of a 747? klm 1957
