MONKEYPOX- Were you rejected or did you turn down the EO?- I can't remember.
Had a festive last day yesterday, thanks to my gracious co-workers. I will miss them, but not the toxic workplace. Time to give my worn out feet and legs (from the wretched workroom floor) some pool therapy.
To Everyone- Good Vibes On Ya!

Linda Rae Our lives aren't even worth $200.00 to the USPS. Found this out when I handled an Express package, from NJ, with stamps, dropped in a collection box, last year. A co-worker noticed a fine white powder all over me & my area. The PO wouldn't let me detox. Had to wait around for over an hour for the PO inspectors. Finally let me go home to shower after about 4hrs. They refused to pay for me to go see a Dr.!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had to file a grievance for Dr. bill & Cipro prescription. They were told to follow proper procedure in future.

. April 1, 2003 to September 30, 2003 has passed. October 31, 2003 has passed. Whatever happened to:
Discussion between the APWU and the USPS has led to an agreement that the Postal Service will petition the Office of Personnel Management, no later than Feb. 2, 2003, for permission to offer retirement opportunities to all APWU-represented employees. This is a standard request, required by law, and the agreement will ensure that no group of employees will be excluded from the opportunity to request early retirement. This differs from the early out in 1992 when the Postal Service was able to exclude a substantial number of employees from applying. Further, this will provide an additional option for those adversely affected eligible employees identified for excessing from their installation. Federal law does not allow for a waiver of the penalties (e.g., 2 percent reduction for each year under the age of 55). The APWU is pursuing consideration of retirement incentives.
Maybe if the court and the arbitrator? Oh, well...ROTC (Retired On The Clock!) .

maxwell--the board can hold only so many notes. I have tried several options in order to stop the board from crashing but it is not working. So a new topic has been created. I have no control over the quick topic boards nor can I correct the problem. Please use the new topic because the EO issue is not over as yet. Thanks everyone for using LunewsViews.

Lu---- What good is a discussion board if you can only read the last 5 messages. Is something being worked on or is this the way the board will be now????

This is a bad day for me , My spouse is probally more upset than me , We have always believed in the UNION and this is very upsetting,, not that they can control management but their lack of interest in the whole matter.. we saw the handwritting on the wall back in April they would not believe us or respond... I'll get over it but I will never forgive this UNION and their totall lack of respect for the people who let them be off the floor and collect huge salaries and apparently go to Vegas and not tell us anything... I'm just bitter and it will take a long while to get over it....

Punched out at 1pm. It is done. I am FREE!!!!! Thank God!!!!! I have been counting down for 5 yrs and got out 2 years & 2 months early. Congrats to all that made it. For those that didnt, I know it wont happen, but i will repeat what i said before. I hope all of you get some money for having to go through this hell & be denied today; I dont care if they let you out next week, they should have to pay for pain and suffering. I hope reallistcly, that at least you all get to go next year.
Forgive the spelling, been drinking some beer. Some celebrating.
I have told everyone, if they want to know what a lottery winner feels like, just ask me. They could not have felt any happier than I have this past month. Now I can say I know (or think) what a pow feels like. I am in heaven. I am free. But, I feel for all that are left behind. I sure hope no one goes postal, but I could sort of understand it. I will surely remember the ones that didnt get to go & hope & pray for all of you that have been screwed AGAIN.
good luck
