Hi, my name is Craig McAllister & I teach MS/HS math at Boyer Valley in Dunlap. This is my 33 year of teaching. My 11th year at Boyer Valley. I am not sure yet What E2T2 is all about but it sounds like a good project.

Video Release forms- The videos we have asked you to do will be viewed by yourself and an AEA consultant. You do not need to get release forms if those are the only people seeing them. We will not be using the tapes for professional development to other audiences therefore the AEA does not need one from your students. If you plan on using the video in your portfolio for others to see, you will need a release form for that purpose.

Ben - I have some fraction materials you are welcome to use. We can visit sometime about that.

Does anyone have a student self-reflection form/process? As we prepare for conferences, I would like to have them reflect. Rather than invent my own form I am asking to see what's out there first.

Thanks, Colleen

Colleen,
I'd preface this process with "Conferences are coming up and I need some ammunition to share with your parents other than just a grade."
I used to have them focus on three things. What are your academic goals for this next term and what can I do to support you? What are your social goals for this year and what can I do to support you? Finally, I'd like you to rate your performance for the first quarter on a scale from 1 10 25, 1 being "I loafed my way through it" and 25 being "I worked at least two hours on homework every night". (Cite specific evidence as to why you scored yourself the way that you did.)
After they had completed this process I'd tell them that I was going to ask your parents the same questions and I may share your responses with them afterward unless you specifically ask me not to. Made for interesting conferences...to see if "goals" were shared or even close to the same.

Just did a PBIT entitled "Smart Shopper" with my 6th grade students. I have a Special Ed. teacher in my room at that time and we were very impressed by their conversations and excitement. It was fun!!!

I'm working on my Reflection page for my video and wondering where I could find the checklist. Is it somewhere on the E2T2 webpage? I couldn't find it. Thanks to whoever can point me in the right direction:)

Nancy, I'm assuming that you are talking about the process standards checklist.
Go to the AEA 13 webpage( www.aea13.org) , Click on "programs and services", go down to " Curriculum and assessment", go over to
"Mathematics" and click on that. This should give you the Mathematics web page and on the left hand column you will see check lists as one of the choices. Click on that and you should be good to go! You can get to this web page other ways but this will do for starters.
If this isn't what you meant, then let me know and I'll steer you in another direction.
Have a good one!
Ron

Did any of the other schools participating in the E2T2 program engrave their calculators with the school name?

Renee and I have scratched in our school name and a number with one of those engraver thingies. We just did it ourselves (actually my daughter did mine for me).
We each have hung a shoe holder to store the calculators. Mine was purchased at either Target or Walmart. It has 24 pockets and is made out of canvas and mesh. I wrote a number above each pocket with bubble paint indicating which calculator should go in each pouch. Then I assigned kids to specific calculators each period. That list for each calculator is located in the pocket as well.

Does someone have the Word version of Greatest Common Factor and Least Common Multiple? The handout available on the web site is in pdf form and when I copy and paste it into a word document the formatting goes awry. I need to tweak the vocabulary a bit. Thanks!

Colleen,
I've added the Word format of the document you want on the handouts page in the same cell as the .pdf version. I'll email to you directly also...
