I have found my great grandfather in Frosolone, Italy. He was born to Donato Palangio and Vittoria Tasillo. He was born in 1875. I am looking for any possible living distant relatives that still might be living in Frosolone.

My paternal grandmother was Anna Marie Palangio born Oct 8, 1885 she married Michele Tamborelli, here parents were Donata born around 1845 in Frosolone, Italy and Giovanni born around 1844. She passed just prior to my birth in 1955. I am told she was born here in West Warwick, RI. There is other information, but am not sure if there is a connection. Would love to find out. Thank you, Anna M. (Tamborelli) Rainone annarain12@yahoo.com

Hi Jimmy! The Cosimo I had referenced was Carmine's father (so he would have been your Uncle Cosimo's grandfather). But thanks for the additional information on your uncle, and your e-mail last week - glad you're doing well!
Ed - don't give up, the info is out there......
To Jim Roy and the rest of the Palangio's: I'll keep doing my best to trace the Palangio's further back, it's getting tougher (and somewhat complicated - topic for another post)! I've updated the Palangio family tree on Geni, and I also maintain more information (including sources) on Ancestry. Of course if anyone wants anything specific please don't hesitate to reach out to me at tonyf23@optonline.net

Thank you Anthony. I will certainly look into this. I just about gave up. I'm 99% sure that my great grandfather was from Frosolone.

To Ed Palange (re: post #220): many birth, marriage and death records from Frosolone survived allied bombings and have been microfilmed. They are kept by the Latter Day Saints in Salt Lake City and can be accessed through their website and viewed at any Family Research Center for a small fee (usually $5 to rent the film for 30 days). I've been researching my Palangio roots this way for the last year or so, I've gone as far back to 1829 (Cosmo Palangio's estimated birthyear, same Comso on the Palangio homepage who married Angela Teresa). Cosmo's father's name was Felice.
